I actually really like having shorter guidances "on tap" for times when I can't do a full hour. As usual, terrific stuff. Thank you.

That was great, thanks Michael! I like this shorter format actually quite a lot - more of it would be much appreciated ☺️

Thanks Michael, found this meditation very grounding.so easy to get carried away with events and emotions and increase their importance when you don't need to!

    Michael, thank you for this.
If I developed a view and cannot grasp to this “unchanging absolute awareness where things arises from and vanishes in. Im just see its like a thought/construct. Phenomena perceive themself, sensations know themselves without this Big Self in background and without “me” aware of it. Phenomena and awareness dependent originated, arises and ceases together simultaneously. How to work futher with dat?

I have meditated daily for about three months now, and have become increasingly aware of a tinnitus-like ringing in my ears when I get deeper into the meditation. Is this normal? It isn't distracting and I've had some success using it as a focus object, but I now notice my ears ringing outside of meditation as well, so I hope this won't become a permanent thing.

Hi, everyone has tinnitus most people are just to noisy and distracted to notice it. So tinnitus is always there, if you are calm and quiet enough you will always hear it. You can even use it as an object of meditation or ask “who is it that’s aware of this tinnitus” :).

See Ajahn Sumedho Sound of Silence. Eye and ear-opening. Tinnitus not always tinnitus.

This was a very nice treat. Not just the meditation, but the sound quality seemed richer for some reason. What kind of microphone did you use?

Was that the cv shot? A fear & judgement tried to slip in based on my beliefs against getting the jab. Immediately higher guidance said no & that pure consciousness is untouched. Thanks for reminding me that awakening isn’t prejudice, just the same as an awakened being can eat meat or not, etc… I will continue this meditation today & benefit from it as usual now.. thanks!

Heyy, i feel like I’m awareness, but i still feel awareness is located somewhere, because I can’t be aware of anything outside the reach of my sense organs. How is consciousness connected to the brain and the sense organs? That’s the main problem i have to completely understand this. Thank you!

"awareness of" is an illusion, mind creates out of nothing this feeling that there is "other" out there, look closely and ask yourself where is it located? try to find it, see that it just more sensations that seem very real and solid.

From a Taoist viewpoint, the senses are gateways to the organs, and the “consciousness” of the body is running mostly on automatic physiological and psychological programs from the brain and other body parts interacting (hormone signaling, nerve impulses/wiring, etc. in modern terms). The awareness in the Taoist system very practically states that if we take our consciousness to “more places in physical space” (such as the literal vast space all around us/earth), we can experience some “releif” from these inner programs/the local reality of our body...so literally “put your mind in space”/have a sense/conscious awareness of literal physical space. That has helped me a lot, along with Michael’s mind blowing guidance. Hope this is useful

Great meditation as always. Still extrenely curious what the difference is between subconscious mind feeding ideas, your conscious thoughts and actions (that you seem to control), and awareness.
It seems that the last 2 are me. So not sure how to deconstruct that.

Am I supposed to forgo focusing on my breathing when doing a meditation like this and just instead direct awareness onto sensations and itself?
