This is so disappointing that so many of them say unfair. Basically the equivalent of saying not only can your opponent use a strategy against you, but you also have to make sure that you won’t harm them as you try to beat their strategy. I can understand being angry at a player if they intentionally hit you when not necessary, but it’s OBVIOUSLY a fair play. Like when Tsitsipas (who said unfair) tried to hit Alcaraz in Barcelona. Pretty soft
This video is a true proof of what John Fowles wrote in Aristos: "Almost all the great popular sports in the world come from Britain. But what Britain has not been able to export is the amateur ethos of the game. Most foreigners, and now many Britons, want to win at any cost within the rules; and they keep to the rules only because a game without rules is war"
Hitting the opponent at net is fair in most cases. Usually you can hit the ball in the middle of the opponent's legs which reduce the chances of hurting him while giving you an advantage. Still, there's only one player in the whole at least top100 who always aims to the body no matter what the situation is, even if it's totally pointless: Tsitsipas. Hearing what he said just confims my opinion on him.
Kyrgios was dragged through the mud for hitting Nadal's racquet when Nadal was standing too near the net and Nick was standing at the baseline. The rest of the match was brilliant but nobody mentioned that. Double standards.
Tsitsipas saying its not fair but bruh i saw you do that to Alcaraz 😅😅😅
He does it all the time. I don’t watch him playing doubles but one time I did against Dimitrov and Hurkacz and he hit Dimitrov 3 times maybe
Biggest clown in tennis. I can’t believe how much support this guy has after all his (and his dad’s) antics
1:54 Alcaraz has entered the chat
I think Khachanov mistakenly thought the question was about punching your opponent during the handshake LOL
Yeah, or walking up to him and swatting him with your racquet😂
they should have added 'intentionally' in the question to make it clear that it's not by mistake.
I knew Shapo was going to say not because of how pissed he gets when players do it to him. But I was surprised how reasonable Ostapenko’s answer was 😂
I think khachanov thought they meant hitting them with his racket 😂😂
Fr
Fair - Pliskova, Kostyuk, Keys, Ruud, Korda
Depends - Penko, Fils, Musetti, Pegula, Coric
Not Fair - Kerber, Shapo, Sakkari, Tsitsipas, Kasatkina
N/A - Khachanov (misunderstood the question 😂)
Interesting how the Europeans are much classier in their responses compared than the Americans. Fair play and respect.
LOL "classier" sure
Sure bud...
Most players saying fair were the more classy ones

Just because a player says it’s “not fair” doesn’t mean they won’t do it… so everyone calling Tsitsipas…
Yes I’m sure he wrote Alcaraz, Hurkcaz, and dimitrov apology cards after

Casper is cool.👍
Funny Ostempeko’s comment about hitting a player at the net. I once saw her laugh after hitting a player in doubles.
Jelena saying that sometimes you feel a player wants to hit you in doubles, that’s totally her, her rivals feel that way for sure 😅

Spot on. Like coric said you don’t wanna do it but if the only way yes it’d fair. But Tsitsipas is a small kid who can’t fight so it’s his only weapon
That was all we did in high school
Is that Sakkari or Brock Lesner

You could’ve cut how they read the question every time 😂 it was a taaad repetitive and the whole video had the same question
Didn’t shapo knock out a ref once and he says unfair 😂😂😂
