- The Viko S30 is a small cruiser from the Polish Viko yard and offers an excellent value for money. The boat is simple and not a bluewater cruiser, but fits very well for cruising on lakes or for pure holiday sailing.
Yeah guys im a boat now🤫🧏♀️
When will those Vikos be tested in open sea in the end. Sailing in 3bft on a like is fine with almost every boat ...
There is a test video already on YT. But they are not made for the open sea, those are coastal cruisers. Good value for money, but with some clear limits.
@@viatormarine I must admit I was at 2 fingers to buy the Viko 35 after visiting both 30 & 35 in a Belgian harbour, even if the 35 is starting from a stunning 75k€ budget to finally end up with 135k for a decently equipped version. But the "rumours" were against it: twisting structure in high winds on sea was the most obvious comment. And then indeed, I couldn't find any video or written review with a test in normal North Sea conditions (3-5/6 Bft + some waves).
Shame because both are very beautifully designed ships with a lot of class and charm.
If Poland is the country in which most manufacturers have their hulls made nowadays, why on earth can a Polish brand like Viko not play that asset out better?
In the end I went for a much smaller French race boat. Happy that it's fast, class A and super strong, but still a shame to have left the Viko by lack of better feedback.
@@fabienh3943 That was presumably a good decision. The North Sea is not the place for a Viko. The low price has a reason. Even thou, if the buyer is aware of the limits, they can make great holiday boats.
@@viatormarine Thanks for that honest reply. Hard to understand the principle of a 35 feet sailboat unfit for the open water. I presumed wrongly that was the true destination of all possible sailboats over 30 feet. I'm new in the business. That must be it 😉
