I think this is my first time seeing the late, great Lloyd Ruby of Texas do an ad for auto racing. Lloyd was a great driver...the man who should have won an Indy 500 and a Championship of the Indy Cars U.S.A.C. sanction organization. This is a good film on engine piston rings purpose.
Perfect Circle was a great Indiana Company that made world class products right in Indiana and used racing as a way to promote themselves. In 1963 they were bought out by Dana but continued to maintain their business for many years until Dana's bankruptcy in 2006. The Rushville plant was closed for many years and then re-opened as Intat Precision. The Hagerstown headquarters and plant is now a parts warehouse for Autocar.
Maynard needs to use this whole Perfect Cricle thing in a Perfect Circle tour. Have this playing in the background and songs that sound like they're about cars and mechanics and racing, but are really Maynard being mad at God over his mom. :{
A terrific chronology of the manufacturing process and testing of piston rings!
