I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2019, after a serious fall, resulting in 5 fractures and a concussion. My grandchildren prayed for me every single day and last year, my neuro test score actually improved. The Nueurologist said that has never happened before because Parkinson is a deteriorating disease and never improves. I told him, "This shows you what God can do." Thankfully, I remain stable, with no deterioration. I was a nurse and had to retire a few months early for fear of making a medical error and possibly hurting a patient. I do lots of word, matching and woodblock puzzles every day, which helps to preserve your brain cells by keeping them active. I also walk several times a day, take my meds (Carbidopa/Levadopa and Ropinarole) and try to drink lots of water. Stress causes my tremors to be worse, so I avoid being around negative people and loud, noisy places. I will pray for you and hope this gives you some encouragement. God can do anything, all you have to do is ask and then have faith. May God richly bless you and heal you.

This song is my anthem. Through all of what I've been through, a car wreck, almost dying from COVID, my daughter being born with Cystic Fibrosis, my wife and I's financial struggles and anxiety. I know God is going to come through in the end!!!

This reminds me of the Peru medical mission where we also operated a hospital boat to provide free care to patients along the Amazon River. Gosh setting up the hospital boat was hard work, and carrying all the equipment, that was the only part I didn't enjoy as much lol. We worked morning to night. I worked alongside the attendings and surgeons (we travelled together from the US) that summer break and gained a lot experience, including performing endoscopies and colonoscopies and interpreting x-rays and ultrasounds. What's the best ships? :) "Every word You say will come true, You'll lead me to the Promised Land... Everything You say will happen, even though I haven't seen it yet... Take the lead, Lord, be my map and compass, help me navigate the currents and the high seas..." These past several years, my life has been a whirlwind, and at so many times this has been my prayer. Throughout my life of moving around over 40 times, never having a hometown or a school to attend regularly, God became the only constant in my life. Through all the high expectations, all the adaptation, every unknown and novel place, every excitement and every worry, it's good to know that one thing never changed.
Got to meet him at resound festival. Was able to share my story with him. How God used his music and his ministry to speak to me in one of my darkest times. He was on a very strict schedule and was not taking pictures with anyone but there were a few fans that he told his manager to not let leave because he wanted to pray over them. Unfortunately I didn't get the msg before it was to late and I had already left. My sister had called to see if I was close enough ti come back. I wasn't but that's OK. He made him self late for his next stop because he felt called to pray with and over a few of the people he met that night. Thank you Colten for allowing God to work through you. May he bless you and your family in the next adventures you are on.

Mercy Ships , which is what this song is about, is an amazing charity that has very little adminisrative costs, and survives because of its donations. I have been on the ship and heard the crew and volunteers say they didn't know what they would have for dinner; they counted on donations from someone in the next port (they were in the US, fundraising. ) They believed God would answer all their needs and he did- there was a big food donation for them in their next port. I love Mercy Ships and highly encourage everyone to donate to them. They make a huge difference in people's lives all over the world.

Be a part of this great mission God has given us to serve each other. In the meantime I serve here in California and in God's time I will take God's love to where he leads to his many children around the world . Our duty is to allow ourselves to be used by God the father to help each other. Once again thank you!
Mercy Ships , which is what this song is about, is an amazing charity that has very little adminisrative costs, and survives because of its donations. I have been on the ship and heard the crew and volunteers say they didn't know what they would have for dinner; they counted on donations from someone in the next port (they were in the US, fundraising. ) They believed God would answer all their needs and he did- there was a big food donation for them in their next port. I love Mercy Ships and highly encourage everyone to donate to them. They make a huge difference in people's lives all over the world.
