LUCY I wish braces can fix it but it can't. I've went to as many dentist as I can and they all said the same shit that there's no way they can push my teeth outside. Sadly like I said my dentist have already fucked my teeth enough they all suggested fillers for the outer appearance which I did but still fillers doesn't change how fucked my smile and teeth are

For anyone who is considering going to Dental school. I strongly advise you to work in the dental field for a couple of years during your undergrad... like I did...
Being a Dentist might (will) not be what you expect it to be... there is a reason why they have the highest suicide rates.
My parents keep telling me I won’t make it but I’m an RDA already and I love dentistry and working with my hands (mostly drawing) so I hope I can make it and make them proud of me

the subjects and the clinical practice are similar to that in the US ,but not 100% the same
you can specialize in orthodontics or any other department (except maxillofacial ) after you finish your dental school .

I 's my 4th year in dental school and it 's the first clinical year for us . we are treating patients now 💪💪
All the subjects are in english . now I 'm studing oral pathology , fixed and removable prothodontics , endodontics , operative , oral and genral surgery , oral and internal medicine , pedodontics , orthodontics and public health . 😅😅
we specialize after finishing the 5 years of dental school and there is a year for training after that .
In my opinion, I don't recommend returinig to egypt for study .

No no no , the total of dental school is 6 years . 5 years of ordinary study and the last 6th year of clinical practice only .
you specialize by after finishing all this by getting a master's degree in any specialty you want except maxillofacial department .
getting master's degree takes about 3-4 years 🤔

That's so interesting! I study dentistry in Germany and it's amazing to see the similarities and differences. Currently I'm in the second semester and suffering. 😂 What other classes do you have? Do learn the anatomy of the whole body, too? (We have a dissection class, amazing but so so much to learn) I will dive into your other videos now and probably find all the answers. 😁 But thanks so much for sharing! I’m glad you had fun. 40 years ago, my D1 was just plain difficult. It was trial by ordeal. I survived for 3 years, until I got ulcerative colitis and had to quit. GPA 2.05. I changed majors, earned an MBA @ UT Austin. GPA 3.42. Vindication I was not a “D” student after all. Good luck in your dental career. I hear it’s all about veneers.

To do a nice looking wax up is one thing. But to do a wax up that survive the forces of occlusion (bite forces) is another thing. When I was in dental school, the instructors would grade our cases while we were out if the room. The instructors would slam the teeth together seeing if they can break your wax up. Many times whey would break the plastic or plaster teeth at the same time. I remember during crown and bridge, we had an instructor who would look at your wax up before you cast it into gold. He would slam the teeth together and if he cracked your wax up, he would tell you to go back and make another one. You could not cast your case until you got his signature. Dental school was a lot harder when I was a dental student. We had more lab work than today students, and we were better prepared to communicate and understand what the lab wanted since we did the same work in dental school. There were little smiles in school, and we worked hard to complete our daily lab cases.

Hi Lan! 3.4 for your first semester of college is totally fine in my opinion! Admissions looks for growth so as long as your improve over the year I'd say you're fine! Keep studying hard and good luck! :)

Hi! I'm 15 and thinking about doing a BDS but I heard a lot of other people online say that it's really stressful and I'm a little bit worried haha. Is it super hard? I have absolutely NO idea what it's gonna be like. In my country, we have to do Health Sciences First Year and we get options of either like pharmacy, dentistry, etc. depending on our grades that first year. I also heard that it's super competitive and that sometimes people can sabotage other people's work because of that competition. Is it doable? I absolutely LOVE physics and I'm okay with chemistry but, as of right now, I'm not a big fan of bio but I'm planning on studying it more so that I can develop curiosity which could help to get me to like biology. Do you have any advice?
