Yugoslav Spomeniks (Part 9-B): Macedonia's Great Lakes (Mavrovo, Ohrid, Prespa)

Join me for an Easter-drive about three of Macedonia's great lakes: Mavrovo Lake, Lake Ohrid, and Lake Prespa.
This video is the 2nd of 4 presenting my 28-day springtime drive around Macedonia for 837 miles (1,347 km) looking for Yugoslav-era spomeniks (monuments). I found (76) of them. The spomeniks are World War II memorial sculptures that were part of a grand project of Tito's to unify socialist Yugoslavia in the aftermath of the NOB. Estimates put the number of such spomeniks built at up to 40,000. These communist works of art are unique and beautiful and often abandoned.

The plaque at 22:29 says that on that place the members of the fights in the Debarca region and the members of the youth march held a history class and they all sworn that ours glorious past is the brightest and the best signpost toward ours better future.
