This video was admittedly very difficult to film. Bus journeys are always a bit tough just because of how slow than can be, but we also unfortunately had some sad news from back home that we were dealing with. All that being said, we knew we had to pick up the camera and film the journey from Dubrovnik to Kotor because without it we just wouldn't be able to tell the story of just how long it took us to eventually reach Tirana. Come along as we make the first leg of our journey to one of our favorite towns in Europe, Kotor, Montenegro!
We began the day on a bit of a low. We'd been up the night prior due to receiving news that Hannah's grandfather had passed away. During the last few days we've had an amazing amount of support and kind words which we're tremendously thankful for. In beginning the day, we kinda just tried our best to get into our rhythm/flow of things. We checked out of our AMAZING Airbnb in Zaton & grabbed an Uber to the Dubrovnik bus station. We arrived very early & spent around 3 hours in a cafe across the street from the bus station. We got some work done, & finally made it to our departure time.
We hopped on the bus & made sure to sit on the RIGHT SIDE of the bus because we've learned that the best views of the Adriatic Sea are from that part of the bus. We left the Dubrovnik bus station relatively on time & made the first 45 leg to the border crossing. The border crossing however took a bit of time. Like, A LOT of time. After finally making it through we worked our way to Herceg Novi & onto the ferry crossing!
We honestly had no idea we'd be taking the ferry. However Tivat was one of the stops on the route we were taking from Dubrovnik to Kotor so it made sense. If you're ever making the drive yourself though then definitely skip the ferry crossing as you won't be able to enjoy the beautiful views of Perast! After about 15 minutes we got off the ferry & made our way to the Tivat bus station.
From Tivat to Kotor it only takes about 20 minutes. Within a short period we'd crossed under the mountain pass & into the Kotor bus station. Our Airbnb was directly next door since we wanted to be close with traveling by bus both to Kotor & from Kotor, so that was probably the most convenient part of the day. We dropped our bags off, wrapped up filming, & went to enjoy some delicious food at our favorite spot Delicious Burger.

You're the man, thank you Eric!!!! Best wishes to you & your family right now!!
@@ProbablyLost thanks I really appreciate it! I would send you a picture of our baby. But I don't trust people on the internet. If you know what I mean.
@@ericwardlaw2355 ABSOLUTELY understand🤣 go ahead and find us on Facebook if you have it!!
@@ProbablyLost I have a Facebook but I don't go on it anymore.lol
Looked like a fairly smooth travel day. I’m sure the burger tasted good. 😊
Man that burger is our favorite in Europe!! This bus day was definitely smoother than others. The leg to Tirana was a bit of a grind though. Thanks so much for watching guys!!!
Great road scenic journey.Loved watching it. 😊👍
Thank you so much for watching!!! This travel wasn't the most comfortable we've had, but it was definitely picturesque!!!😊
@@ProbablyLost Good job.Be safe 🙂🙂🙂
Wait, what? No Flixbus? I'm disappointed ... LOL. At least I see on your watch that it ain't nearly as hot there, as lately here in Austria! 96º F this afternoon. That sure was a giant hamburger, made me hungry. Until next time.
SHEEEEESH!! 96 is definitely high. We often talk about how we really don't care that much about heat as long as we're near the water. That way we can at least take a dip! You've got to add Kotor to your future travels down here. You'll absolutely love it! Thanks so much for watching Eddy!
Was it worth it? Hassle free?
Honestly yes!!! The bus ride to Kotor from Dubrovnik honestly isn’t that bad at all. The leg from Kotor to Tirana though…that’s a bit more challenging😅😅 thank you for taking the time to watch our video!!!
@@ProbablyLost thanks for the reply I love a journey either way so its all good. Cheers and thanks again 😀 👍
