Henri Salvador(1917-2008) didn't like that kids, in France, were being "addicted" to Rock 'n Roll music so he decided to make certain classical music compositions "fun" and wrote some lyrics, which tells the story of a Cuban banana farmer's daughter(in other languages, besides French, the daughter is Mexican)with operatic ambitions and whose chorus is an adaptation of "Caro Nome" from Giuseppe Verdi's opera Rigoletto(1851), was originally released in the United States in 1966. Tash Howard and Murray Kenton wrote lyrics in English for "The Peels" . P.S.
