- When using All-in-One Paint by Heirloom Traditions, is it really true you can just degloss and paint? Ninety percent of the time the answer is yes. This video gives you examples of when additional prep is needed. Why it is needed and how to do the prep. It also includes examples of projects that have held up to heavy use after being painted when proper prep was done before painting.@AngelsNook-nj3xq,#heirloomtraditionspaint #homedecor #homedecorfinds #drybrushing #potterybarnfinish #blendingstains #blendingtechnique

You are welcome. Glad it helped! Thank you for watching and leaving a comment!
Thank you!
Thank you for looking. We will be releasing a couple more Friday afternoon.
Very informative video. What colors did you use on the bathroom shower? What technic?
Long answer! 🤣 I scrubbed the daylights out of it with regular cleaners. Then deglossed with green scrubby. I did not paint a basecolor as I was still not sure what we were doing about the floors in the bathroom. So, I allowed bits of the original brownish beige to peek through. I wadded pieces of plastic grocery bags tightly, making sure not to use pieces with logos stamped because they will bleed onto your project. I put small amounts of paint 2 to 3 Tbsp at a time on paperplate. Barely dipped my wadded plastic into it. Then, it was stamped onto clean paperplate to get most off. Then stamped randomly onto the tiles doing one complete color layer at a time on all tiles. By the time I got to the end, I could go back to where I started and start applying the next color. Keeping the plastic tightly wadded allowed me to avoid getting any paint on the grout that we had already redone earlier with Mapei Grout Renew. You can see how to use that at about the 2:15 minute mark of the video on my Pantry Redo here on the channel. The layers are as follows: Cobblestone, Cashmere, Coliseum, 1:1 mix Cobblestone and Cashmere and finally light layer of Cashmere. Floor 3 coats of Cashmere. Frame surround 2 coats Irongate. 3 coats HTP Water Resistant Sealer on all including over grout.
Does the deglossing wipes require the use of rubber gloves when using to protect your skin? Do they say anything about wearing a mask?
There are no fumes with the deglosser. You can use the deglosser without gloves. But with large projects, I find it dries my skin but definitely doesn't cause any skin damage.
