The Vocal Concert by Shri. Bharat Sundar accompanied by one of the best in business
as accompanying artists like Shri. Ramakrishnan on Violin, Shri. Sai Giridhar on Mridhangam
and Shri. S.K.Sridhar on Ghatam as part of the Marghazhi Maha Uthsavam was truely so good
especially since the research done by the Singer about the earlier greats of Karnatic Music
and the humble way he presented the performance by recognising each and every artist
by whom the specific songs were made famous in their times. The nuances inducted by
Shri. Bharat Sundar in portraying the songs was a stand out as well. The second fiddle by
Shri. Ramakrishnan was a true to original as evidenced during the concert. There needs to
no mention of the contribution made by both Shri. Sai Giridhar and Shri Sridhar on their
part with their instruments made the concert very nice and listenable from start to finish.
Our best wishes to each and every one of them. The Audition arrangements and the Stage
set up as conceived by and executed by Maximum Media is a true service to Carnatic music and they deserve our kudos.

This is the first time I have heard 'Kandhanin Azhagil'. The sahityam and the way the song was presented were absolutely beautiful. May God bless Shri Bharath Sundar and the entire team for introducing us to this lovely gem.
Astounding Abheri Alapana Both vocalist and violinist brought out the nuances in every phrase
This was a splendid concert Bharat. Loved the theme; your snippet of yesteryear's stalwarts whom you chose to portray shows how much respect you have for each, and how much 'gnanam' you have imbibed from these maestros. Kudos to you. Hamsanadam and Abheri was outstanding. Of course I must appreciate the entire team. Ramakrishnan as always is a class act; percussion was awesome. On the whole, a concert that was soulful and has left an indelible impression!!!!!

Bhaarath Sundhar, though he may not have reached his peak, sings with considerable vocal knowledge n ease. His pakkavaadhya team is excellent. Further, one is gratified by his honouring some former great singers ; his choice of krithees is also commendable.

Opening statement on the aim of the theme created expectation from a thinking vidwan Bharat Sundar. But, disappointed by selecting the celebrated and well known vidwans and vidushees. There were great maestros who need to be discussed, in particular, who resided in Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Some of the names are: Palghat Rama Bhagavatha, Omana Kutty of Kerala; Vinjamuri Varadaraja Iyyengar, Hyderabad, Manda Sudharani IVisakapatnam) of Andhra Pradesh; Vijayaraghavan (Mysuru), Seethalakshmi Venkatesan (Bengaluru) of Karnataka. I appeal to producer of Ragamalika TV (MU) to continue this theme to honor many such great maestros.
