Loving the background music on this girl. It’s giving COZY. I read the silent patient a while back. I found the beginning intriguing, the middle boring, and the ending GOOD 😂 I enjoyed the weight of blood. Watching Carrie definitely enhances the experience! Plus Carrie just a good movie lol.
I loved the teacher by Freida. Perfect Peace has also been one that ive been wanting to read for years. Those two book store, cafe books seem like cozy reads. Enjoy your fall reading!

I absolutely loved This Poison Heart and The Wicked Fate! Definitely gives black girl magic, history and wholesome black family vibes! Silent Patient was a great read for me. The pace I felt wasn't too slow and the ending !!!! Mouth on the damn floor! I've been stepping out of my normal Thriller reads and exploring historical fiction, western, dipping a toe maybe in Syfy. Loved the video !!! 💜💜💜
I think you should watch Carrie in general but no need to watch before reading the Weight of Blood. I’m looking to try fantasy as well so I’m glad you mentioned some that were good for beginners. I’m gonna try Poison Heart when I get around to starting them, thanks ☺️

I watched Carrie before reading the weight of blood. It’s not necessary but it did help me make comparisons so I would recommend it. Your copy of where sleeping girls lie must be large print edition because my copy is not that long but the words are small.
You should watch Carrie just to watch Carrie IMO😊. My sister the serial killer was good to me, I just wanted more. Side note: let me stroll on over to dollar tree and see what’s up with the books.
This Poison Heart duology was good. I thought book 1 was excellent. I loved the family and the plant magic and the house. Book 2 had a little more romance than I wanted, but it was still good. I just finished The Weight of Blood last week. It was so good. It made me angry and sad and so emotional. Amazing! I don’t think you need to watch Carrie to read the book.

Also i thought it was just my barnes i couldn’t get “the Cinnamon Bun Book .” by Laurie Gilmore anywhere Not barnes, not BAM, not walmart nowhere.
We definitely have similar reading tastes and I love that. I can’t wait to read Reel. I love Kennedy so much. Now I did see my local Indie bookstore with the cinnamon bun book. They just posted it on their Instagram page. So I may go get it.
