I have read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe but not the others in that series. I will have to give those a try! This December, I am looking forward to reading Agatha Christie's The Adventure of the Christmas Pudding
omg i love that title haha!! yeah it's actually a shame the others are not talked about as much as the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe! i really like the magician's nephew!
Oh my gosh, this is so funny that The Chronicles of Narnia (well, the first 2 books anyway) are on your list! I have one big book that has the entire series in it, and I just finished it a couple of weeks ago! I didn't know about these books growing up, but as an adult, I absolutely loved all of the imagery and being able to see the parallels between the Bible and these books. C.S. Lewis was such an amazing author, and his story of becoming a Christian makes it all that much better for me, because you can just feel his passion in the books he wrote (fiction and non-fiction). I don't go for romance either, but love the Christmas books that are like that too! There's just something different about it at Christmas time. My oldest son loved the Gary Paulson books when he was younger. I think those may have been the only books he really ever read. LOL Looks like a great TBR list!
ohh that sounds like an awesome edition!! i might have to look for that for my niece. yes, he is so amazing and love all his Christian themes! hahah yeah there is something about the pure sweetness of the Christmas stories! thanks so much for your comment :)
Christmas By the Book was a cover buy for me. I'm hoping to read it this year (as I said last year), but if not, would love to hear your thoughts. A.J. Fikrey was a really fast but emotional read. It spans a lot of years and jumps forward quickly at times, so it's kind of a life saga in miniature. Aaaand wow, I read children's books all the time but I haven't checked for Gary Paulsen in a hot minute and didn't know he was still publishing; that book looks great!
I didn't think Christmas By The Book was A romance. I also have The Phoenix Crown and plan to read FebMar. If you want a good winter story, The Snow Child by Eowyn(sp?) ? is A re-read for me this Jan. Already have my Jan. books picked. Dec. I'm reading only Christmas books from my own large collection. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving!😊
