44years in engineering.
Glad youngsters can see process.
Damn scary when I first started but got to love it.
Retired from itb8 years ago and still miss it and the mates.
Would I do it again .
He'll yes, in a heart beta
Steve Roberts.
The last steel former is simply amazing.
I love machining on big lathes! I've done my fair share making and repairing shafting for the USCG cutters.
Where would we be without these men? I'm grateful for their skills.
Thanks for the video.
Just FYI: In video or television production there are so called *Action Safe* and *Title Safe* Areas. Utilizing this arcane knowledge when doing subtitles or descriptions can greatly improve the final result;)
I love the dome forming, no safety glasses, no safety boots, people standing close to the machine.
Saftey glasses should always be required when around machinery
Yea they probably all died
R.i.p no safety glasses
I'm the perfect amount of high for this
Same
You must be my long lost twin

Takes hit from joint clicks video, sees promising comments, blows out.
I'm hammered right now watching Forrest Gump
Quá phức tạp .toàn thấy những người đứng tuổi làm những công việc đòi hỏi sự cẩn thận và kỹ thuật. Nước ngoài họ thật sự giỏi 👍👍👍
10:50 such skill maneuvering those pieces
Love the audio …. !
2:30 давно мечтал о таком казане 😁
Watching vessel head reminds me of a plant I worked at that had giant dies and presses that punched them out in a single hit.
Luar biasa mesinnya canggih👍
FROM NORTH BORNEO MALAYSIA
Those chips are so hot, they're bluing. Might need some coolant.
I've been to a factory where they make crankshafts for ships by milling and seeing the size and mechanics of these machines is very impressive! So huge and such precise machining!
Who are... "they"?
@@Poperillnik the GMH Gruppe in Berlin
@@Poperillnik well, in Wildau to be precise
I had my wife come to see what I was doing. When I started the lathe she ran away. Never forget that.
When your chips sound like house keys dropping on the floor...
Have you ever tried opening the garage door ?
Called "turnings" not chips, learn something new is good for you, eh?
@@operatorjeffdeathstar7759 I've never heard a single person call them turnings.
If that is true, that's nice.
I'll continue to call them chips like all the others in this trade.
Called shavings
My cuts where bigger
Very therapeutic.
SIMPLY AMAZING..THE SCALE OF THIS FLANGING PROCESS😎ROCKMAN.
Yoo it's crazy to see those dishes(bottom head or top head) being rounded to where we can build our vessels
Nearly impossible to keep up with all the descriptions when they appear in different spots for random lengths of time
Wow that's a lot of ads I used to watch them when it was one or two starting a video now there's so many I skip or ignore
install the "ublock" adblocking extension for your browser. havent seen an ad on youtube in years lol
Great
Amazing skills
Love the videos. I'm a bit of a gear head myself but please loose the music.
Amazing video
I love this job
Poręba heavy Polish lathe TCG 125 and 250 ,working piece up 40 tons, lenght 15 meters.
Nice..Up..from Indonesia..
Amazing.
6:45, soft balancer, measures displacement as a function of imbalance. See the 4 bolts on top of the bearers, use them to put a roller cap on the rotor, if there is too much imbalance its comming off.
GOOD MACHINE
The last segment was the most interesting. Too bad the editing chopped it all to hell. Would like to see a whole video on the shipbuilding process with about a %90 less ads. Thanks.
Amazing
i love that shaping the plates was shown as seconds but that is actually minutes
대단합니다.
HOW!!!! GOODGOOD📌👍👍👍👍👍
7:45 The world could do with some of that Paint!
It looks like they are making slap bracelets. ... That's what some of the shavings look like.
Wow, very heavy machine
Good job
Thanks good video.
amazing......................
With all the guys standing around at 3:09, must be some sort of beer brewing equipment.
Okay thanks again for
Que maravilha gosto muito!
I wanted to watch this, but the music. I want to hear the machines instead. If no sounds available, no problem.

there was some great footage here before you butchered it !!1
wow good video👍👍👍👍👍
0:54 How can they make it smooth surface, I mean there will be gaskets and seals but those shafts are mirror smooth...HOW is that even possible? Lots of fine grit sandpaper?
Speeds and feeds essential & finishing tools or removing tool post and place a grinding wheel on cross slide. Sand paper can make it look like it has been grounded, too miror it place oil on 120 grit. 👌
You can thank youtube for disliking your vid and not watching it to the end. Every 2min a commercial.
Yeah, I'm perfectly fine with some commercials but this was a new record and way too much.
Great video......but, please give me a little more time to read the captions.......and process the info and the video....
amazing
7.47 - Anti-Corona paint? Yes please
Uma ferramenta que corta sem refrigeração
7:45 "anti-corona paint"
I've purchased a whole bucket of that paint. Will cover myself with this so I can safely go to the grocery store & other public places.
Nice catch lol
Lol I saw it too

10 minutes of video already 3 ads. Are there too many?!!!!
Thanks for your polite comment, I reduced some ads
install an adblocker, is bliss
can i have some of that blue anti-corona paint? sneezing a lot lately
This is so cool!
40 mins for one piece? thousands of pieces, then they've got to be welded together into units, then the units fitted out, then assembled into a ship, then the ship fitted out,,,,, holy crap
What you see are special pieces, too sophisticated for machines to produce.
For certain shapes like hyperbolic curves in different planes it is favorable if a good 'ol human manufactures these parts.
Other pieces, which make the greater part of a ship hull, can be mass produced in full automation.
I don't understand why they didn't used coolent in this turning process
Mantaplah
I wonder what that shaft's material cost was and how the hell it got shipped there.
The part is shipped on a flatbed semi. The parts and labor can cost upward to 5-8k on a new build. Rebuilds are another matter and are dependent upon various tests and inspections of reuse. Sometimes, they can break down due to negligence that the user doesnt see until after it occurs.
How much does the last steel former make per year? Such skill!
1:43 🤔 That bass reminds me of the song "La Danza de los Mirlos" by the group Los Mirlos 😁
do you know from what song that tune is? trying to find it
When iron is softer than boiled rice noodle.
WoW nice machinery I love them and the advice technology also What is that first song’s name I love the music
Great !
Are you interesting your roofing lighting--Rayshow Lighting
Waaaaaw
No I know why big scale machines and tools can cost upwards of millions of dollars.
Wenn die Spähne so groß wie die Bauteile sind, welche wir drehen 😅
Shouldn't there be coolant sprayed during heavy milling like that there shouldn't be color in cuttings
Let me ask if the scrap iron CNC lathe turned out can be recycled or thrown away
Every piece of steel can be recycled, why not?
Fon müzüği nerde bulabilirim kim seslendiriyor veya enstürmanı çalıyor biri cevaplasın thanks.
Bet that roller machine could break a finger.
I need that scrap
Lütfen arka fonda çalan müziği çok merak ettim nedir bu şarkının adı. Teşekkürler
4:14, have you got enough blue on there 🤦♂️ ?
Что будет если запоришь такую деталь?
Imagine, after all this machining, you made a mistake.
Fired
Please write me, what is the music, I want listen else.
7:45 Anti Corona paint ???????..... Corona !!???
How is anyone expected to see, read and understand the on screen notes?
In addition, the chopping and changing of subject prevents any proper appreciation of the reason or purpose of the process being shown.
Great for the gormless who simply want to watch without understanding.
the ads overdose is paying for miss hotness hotels and plush existence etc
7:44 Anti corona paint? Was that suppose to say anti-corrosion?

Love the first song, if anyone knows it, please let me know.
did you found it?
@@maluco132 No 😔
Does anyone know why they didn't use cooling in the first clip?
Yes. It barely improves cutting or tool life, but it makes a huge mess and a lot of smoke because you can't cool these huge chips fast enough😃
@@stevenvanwort9250 Thanks!
@@stevenvanwort9250 How about pressured air then? It cools and provides faster chip evacuation so the chips doesn’t get the chance to heat as much. Wouldn't that be slightly better?
@@fog1257 the chips are big so they barely cool down with air. But we often use air when milling for chip evacuation!
@@stevenvanwort9250 Okej I'm useful to regular sized cnc so I can barely imagine the size of that machine.
Anti-Corona paint?
