I've never been a fan of slammed cars, but after watching this series I have a lot of respect for the work that's gone into this build. Also, I have to concede that thing looks SICK! Well done! 👍
Wow wow wow how can an Ami look so good, the wheels finish it off so well! Watched the first 30 seconds and already had to comment!! Great work Josh it turned out so well! Im sure you will get other Ami owners asking you to do theirs, hey maybe produce a kit to sell from your website!
If the range is only 40 miles, what is the chance of adding a thin adhesive solar panel on the roof to always top off the battery? Would seem like a great way to make that 40 mile max keep lasting on and on.
I have tried that on Luigi Racing, (an even more modified Citroen Am than this one) it does not work or extend the range but do have an answer as to what does work and 62 mph on Luigi Racing ! You Tube Video soon
Respect and appreciation to the build, it does remind me of the VAG scene though, there was a sad race to have the "first bagged XXX" build back in the day and it kinda reminds me of that, the BBS really hammer that home, but its different and I love it for that, I'm just not looking forward to the EV scene now becoming VAG 2.0. However if you wanted to make it a bit more pokey there's some guys on the net who've managed to dial those Ami's up to doing 70+ if you're into that.
Re: compressor noise, google ‘CSR Rockwool’ - you might be able to pad out the compressor bay with high density industrial noise reduction foam, and reduce several dB. Still waiting for the Hyabusa swap (and super stoked you named it SLAmi). ❤
Loved this style of video! If you can get help with filming on certain builds that would be incredible - what a build! I've never seen anything like it and that left foot acceleration was hysterical 😅
Do you plan on doing a FIAT Topolino when it gets to the UK shores? Since it's based on the AMI, most of your mods should be more or less plug and play compared to doing all that work all over again.
The thing I'd like to know is, would it be as complicated and costly if changing to air ride was only about ride comfort and not about getting it to sit on the floor? If, say, sitting on the factory bumpstops is enough...
Just out of interest, those rivets you cut out on the bottom arms in the last episode, did you have to replace the temporary bolts with hardened ones (eg 10.9s)?
I am an AMI owner, I want to ask if you put bigger wheels on the Ami will you gain in speed? instead of 14 rims you put 15 or 16 inches.will it go over 45 km?
2:44 am I halucinating or does it look like the bag is grinded down from the side where the wheel sits? Is it possible that the wheel is rubbing on the bag when its more deflated (when it gets wider) ? If so its possible that this ami is still not finished and will return to your shop :))
I AM from Brazil bro... i'd be surprised if we EVER get these. Citroen (Stellantis) certainly wont be importing them and i don't see them investing $$$ to make them here. The Chinese are already dominating our electric car market and they haven't even set up their factories yet (one of them bought the old Ford factory as Ford exited to Argentina - to make the most of their economic down turn no doubt).
lol that's a sick build , ridiculous but awesome. were there legal issues? i watched the whole thing but didn't catch you talking ab it. maybe stuff is easier to modify in this class of vehicles

What till you see the off road version if you like this one!
Watched the "drive it left foot" part about 100 times 😂😂😂 had me pissing myself.👍👍👍
was very close to disaster 🤣🤣
@@Joshwaa___ funny shit.
Great to see the ami in it's final form. I'd love to get an update on Taylor's bmw- keep up the great work!
He's definitely proud of this one that's awesome! Having a cameraman definitely changes up the variety of the videos awesome!!
I think so too!
So cute. I live in giant speed-bump city. This thing would just ground out on the first one and sit there rocking for eternity.
Love it
Need to see customers reaction on delivery
Noted
I love this thing like seriously, wish it could hit 60mph,they would be enough for me on the highway
Great to see this finished. What an awesome job you did. So cool. Have a good week. Marc from Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you! You too!
Amazing transformation, one of the coolest cars I have ever seen, pity you couldnt do something with the power output.
Fair play to you. Some great work you've done there. Really enjoyed this build.
This is RIDICULOUS.
I LOVE everything about it.
That little thing is badass, great job Buddy!!! 😁👍
Josh. You are a very clever chap. Nice to see skills that many wannabe you tube car enthusiasts/restorers could only dream of possessing. Great stuff
Wow, thanks!
You’ve done it again
Best vision for builds and always perfectly exacted
Very coool build!
Proof that wheels and suspension can make anything look better!

Dude that looks awesome. There’s a green one local to me. Had something done. Does at least 40mph.
Quite frankly: had Citroen released something similar to this, it would've legitimately been an interesting and fun city car.
Looks fantastic Josh , your hard work paid off 😊
It was!
Best thing I’ve seen in a while! Thanks
Great job. Very much enjoyed watching the series on this. Keep up the great vids.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Well done Josh been a larf following this and great to see it finished
Thanks!
I've always liked the Ami as it's daft, cheap and shit. But the Slami? Epic mate. Amazing work and it just looks incredible on the BBS wheels! :)

Well done👍
Thanks!
Love it!! and the colour... What's the paint code please..?
✌
Is it possible to match the the front camber to the rear wheels? That would look neat 😀
Love it, I'm into kei cars so this was my thing.
😎😎
When all the hard graft pays off! 🙏 Lovely reveal video as well!
Nicely slammed but how/where you decided to park it at various pints was interesting- bus stop!???
MAGNIFIQUE!!!! félicitations 🤩🤩🤩
Love it man, well done!!!
Great build! I noticed that you have a nice Fiat 126p in the garage on BBS's - if I'm right. Can you share some info about it?
Re: compressor noise, google ‘CSR Rockwool’ - you might be able to pad out the compressor bay with high density industrial noise reduction foam, and reduce several dB. Still waiting for the Hyabusa swap (and super stoked you named it SLAmi). ❤
Rock wool collects moisture and the airride is basically just outside!
@@Joshwaa___ I’ve seen your videos, you LOVE rust :)
Well Done Fella! Looks Rad!! 😎
thanks!
So good! Great work, man! I appreciate all of the work you had to do that thing to get it that low haha.
I already thought these were cool, This is next level 😎
Yeah that does actually look really really good 👍 nice job dude.
Thank you! Cheers!

Great t shirt Josh 👍🏻
Outstanding!!!
Bon travail mon ami .
What happens if you leave it parked with the steering turned and the suspension down?
You my friend are amazing fair play to you for doing wot you do love watching your videos keep up the good work
Thanks so much

Mate it Amazing good job 👍💯💯💯💯💯👍
Just brilliant!!!!
Looks so good men

Looks amazing, but I like it less than I thought I would. I think I will put lowering springs on my own AMI lol.
Fair enough!
@@Joshwaa___ still, congrats on your effort! I’m sure this will blow up all over the internet soon enough lol!
Just out of interest, those rivets you cut out on the bottom arms in the last episode, did you have to replace the temporary bolts with hardened ones (eg 10.9s)?
yes mate 👍
Looks awesome
Dude thats silly sick. Well done !

pass!
Never seen this guy immediately clicked on it because I always wanted to see this done
Good vid, but I think the Microlino is a better car, (seems more refined)👍👍👍
So cool!!! 🙌🏼🇸🇪

illusion 👍 can confirm not the case.
Late Brake Show will be all over this.. Love it 😀
Playback at double-speed is a MUST!!!
Can the speed limit of sub 30mph be hacked and increased?
Man that thing damm near jumps with the 3/8 lines!
