    Great tutorial. Personally, I think mentioning the tension of the racket might help too since the repulsion will be different from each tension. May I ask what is the tension you used here?

    • @tobiaswadenka8435
      @tobiaswadenka8435  5 років тому +1

      Hi Dion, yes really good observation! I use around 13kg (~29lbs) and a BG80. I think the string is also very important. At the moment i try the Aerobite and i think i get even more spin into the shuttle with it

    Amazing tutorial thank you so much! When trying to spin a spin, should you counterspin or spin by following the same direction as the initial spin?

    • @tobiaswadenka8435
      @tobiaswadenka8435  3 роки тому +1

      Follow the same direction, otherwise you will most likely hit the feathers and it is almost impossible to control the shuttle

    • @tobiaswadenka8435
      @tobiaswadenka8435  3 роки тому

      If the opponent is too close to the net, is a better idea to just lift it over him. If he can kill it because your netshot is way to high then try to make your movement with the racket smaller

    Very useful tips and I got correct way to spin the shuttle... But, Why we spin the shuttle..? What are the uses for the spin...?

    • @tobiaswadenka8435
      @tobiaswadenka8435  4 роки тому +1

      It is a lot harder to return the shuttle if it spins so for example you can force your opponent to hit the shuttle lower where the shuttle doesn't turn so much anymore or he has to be afraid of hitting the feathers and loosing control over his shots

    Is this working with nylon shuttle too ?

    • @tobiaswadenka8435
      @tobiaswadenka8435  2 роки тому

      You can also make them tumble a lot but it is very different to the spin you can give to feather shuttles and it is also hard to control it

  • @skate9616
    @skate9616 4 роки тому

    How about the direction of racket movement. Spinning the shuttle right to left (demonstrated in the video) but how about left to right. This could be situational, for example when the opponent plays a cross court net to your forehand side and you use the left to right movement instead.

    • @tobiaswadenka8435
      @tobiaswadenka8435  4 роки тому

      Yes, if you would try to cut right to left in your scenario it is almost imossible to get a lot of spin into the shot and there is also danger, that shuttle slips over your racket. In general it is also hard to spin, if the shuttle is too far beside you or if it flies cross court, so you get the most spin when the shuttle flies straight at you

      Very short rotation in the forearm, perfect timing with tightening the grip and giving direction with the wrist. And putting in thousands of hours of practice and having an incredible feeling for the shuttle like Tai. I would say that's it :P

    Is there any tactical difference making spin inward and outward of the pitch?

    • @tobiaswadenka8435
      @tobiaswadenka8435  5 років тому +2

      it is really hard to make inwards spinshots when you don't have the shuttle in front of you or the shuttle is flying crosscourt. Outwardsspin is the better option when the shuttle is a little bit besides and also when the shuttle is flying crosscourt

  • @BeyondtheFinishLine9
    @BeyondtheFinishLine9 5 років тому

    Amazing tutorial 👏👏👏.How to play spinning net shots from lower position in singles?(by the backhand side of racket)

    • @tobiaswadenka8435
      @tobiaswadenka8435  5 років тому +2

      Hi Suhas, thanks for you feedback =) From a lower position it makes almost no sense to spin the shuttle because 1) you need a upwardsmoevement, and that makes it hard to get a lot of spin into your shot and 2) during the way up and over the net it will most likely loose all the spint before your opponent can hit it.

  • @blacktigersbadmintonchannel
    @blacktigersbadmintonchannel 5 років тому +1

    Great tutorial as always Tobi, that detail with the two axes makes a lot of sense 👍
    It also makes a difference in which direction you spin the shuttle, doesn't it? As far as I know, the shuttle naturally spins clockwise coming towards you. So you increase the spin with a right-to-left motion (like you showed in the video) and make the shuttle fall faster.

    • @tobiaswadenka8435
      @tobiaswadenka8435  5 років тому +1

      Thank you! Yes you are right, the shuttle always rotates in the same direction so the direction of the movement has a huge impact on the spin of the shuttle. This is also the reason why the shuttle will fly diferently if lefthanders play sliced dropshots or spinshot at the net compared to ridehanded players.
