    In the case of Cantilever beam while calculating shear force and bending moment we dont have to find support reactions at the fixed support is there is any such rule because i have seen in some videos they didnt calculated the reaction force at the sopport?

      No there is not any any rule u can follow any method.
      Both methods r correct.
      One is from support side ( same sign convention )
      2nd is from free side without calculating support reaction ( opposite sign convention)

    Find all the reactions for a propped cantilever beam, total leangth 5 metres and the prop provided at one end. The beam is loaded with a point load of 20 kN at 2 metres from the fixed end and also carries an uniformly distributed load of 10 kN/m from this position upto the prop-end. The prop is 20 mm below the beam level at the unloaded stage of the beam. Adopt E = 200 Gpa and I = 345 cm². Adopt method of consistent deformation for the study.

    Can you for this answer.A cantilever Beam 6m long carries 3 points loads 20kn,30kn & 25kn at 1.5m,3m & 6m at respectively from free end. Calculate the reaction.

      bmd of udl is parabolic in nature, that's a rule

      If load degree is one then then SFD degree curve will be 2 and for BMD degree 3

      Its represent variation of bending moment along the length of beam. And for udl bm variation line is parabolic.

    Mam please solve this problem - A cantilever beam 6 meters length is subjected to a UDL of 4kN /m for 5 meters from the fixed end. it also carries a point load of 7kN at a distance of 3 metres from fixed end and another point load of 6kN at free end. draw S.F.D and B.M.D

    Is there any short trick to draw sfd bmd

      Sfd = for point load straight vertical, if no load acting between two point load then straight horizontal line. For udl inclined. Practice makes man perfect. Just add upwrd reactions and subtract downwrd loads from left side one by one.
