My Galaxy S20 FE 5G will still be my go-to phone, but I'm excited to try out the Pixel 6a and see how it is (I've heard good things).
sounds like tensor chips are actually a drawback outside of photography. it's kind of funny even all these years later that a QUALCOMM modem is the way to go. I have one of these on the way and may actually have to return it in favor of a phone that is using a midrange snapdragon.
💡 thanks for the comprehensive review and recommendation
Got mine almost a month ago & immediately installed GrapheneOS on it. Best phone experience I've had in years because of that. Pleasantly surprised by how good a modern smartphone can be when you're not actively the product as you are with stock android or apple.
Hey I've been researching the graphene os system too but need someone who knows what their doing and can help me set it up using my computer. I hear the pixels are great for this software. I'd pay cash for advice and or help with setup. I'm in Vancouver.
Nice video as always . Can u pls tell me brand of your large table pad?
Just picked up a Pixel 6 on a 2 year tab for $6 monthly, the best part about the deal was they'd take $16 off my next 15 bills!
So not only do I get the phone dirt cheap my phone plan is now $10 cheaper for 15 months, such a good deal!
💡been using the 6a since the past 3 months and I have to say it's my favourite smartphone of this year just after the S22 Ultra.
Bro Can you tell me about battery performance of pixel 6a ????
@@ganeshcristiano492 averaging around 5hrs SoT with around 19hrs of usage.
@@ShinobiSan With Single Charge !!! Does 6a Stand for One full day With heavy Usage ??? . I am going to Buy it Next month . I am a heavy User . Does 6a is good at heavy Usage???
@@ganeshcristiano492 you won’t get through the whole day if you use the camera alot or play games alot. Also while using mobile data. You might need to charge it a little in the evening
Is it a good beginner phone as my b day is coming up
You mentioned a pixel 7 I think for about $500. Where would I find that. I'm actually looking to get the pixel 7 pro for a deal but the pricing, at least where I've been looking is around the grand mark. Any suggestions?
I've had mine since black Friday. It was on sale at £299, but I also got £149 trade-in for my Pixel 4a. I think for the price it's a great phone. Battery life has been fine for me. I've not had any overheating or fingerprint sensor problems.
Almost bought this phone but opted for the Nothing Phone instead. Pixel 6a is a great phone tho. It's the lack of high refresh rate, average battery, lack of wireless charging that made me switch to the Nothing Phone. Also the 6a seemed to run warm for no apparent reason but gosh darn it that camera is backed by excellent software.
Same here bro, I don't know if it's a good decision or not 😅
Average battery? I am pretty sure it would be the same as nothing phone 1 in terms of battery. Nothing phone would be a better phone but battery is really good in Pixel 6a
@@mouhamadyoussouf9320 Tbh both phones have the odd battery drain issue. With the Pixel it's during active usage because of the very power hungry Tensor core. With the Nothing Phone on OS 1.1.7, it was a sleep mode, overnight battery drain issue that has since been resolved with the beta A13 update
@@Ankit-ri8sv does pixel battery drains very fast?how long does it last for full charge?
@@anandjani7642 Less than a day. Depends on usage. The phone heats up even while browsing.
I do enjoy my pixel 6a I will hold on to it for a while coming from the republic of Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹🇹🇹
💡thanks for going over the phone!
I can understand the criticism on this phone at release price, but for 300$? Simply the best value phone on the market.
No refreshment rate 😑😑
Got this as soon as it came out. My only real gripe is that the battery is a let down. I've heard the same about the pixel 7s. These guys need to get better battery life into their phones.
Go to settings and restrict as much access as you can on all your apps, locations, cameras and mics. That's a good start to saving battery life. Lots of vids on you tube about it. Gives you more control too on who's doing what on your phone without your permission. U should put most of those settings on ask everytime. Hope this helps
@@paulmcclaskin362 thanks 👍
Excellent video 💡!
Fingerprint issue is still not resolved, I have to attempt 2/3 times every time whenever I have to unlock my phone
Yeah... I've Pixel 6a, it's a Great mid range phone & I'm waiting for 7a❤️💙💚💛
Here in the states yes, the pixel six a is 299 and there’s not another new phone in that price bracket that comes close to that. value.
Got this on sale for 299 which is a total steal for a phone that keeps up with more expensive flagship phones
6 months with the 6a here, I hate how the Google assistant doesn't give an audio prompt. (Yes I've contacted support many times), and my speakerphone cuts out intermittently. Poor audio quality, and my service drops throughout the day even though I live next to a 5g tower. I wouldn't buy the 6a...
Everyone doesnt have your problems with the 6a.
@@Arrozconchopsticks I don't care? 🤷 I'm sharing my issues with multiple 6as... I've gotten 3 replacements.
i want buy for camera but overall phone don't knkw
Nice video, just got the phone and love it.
What Movie app were you using the phone during the review?
I noticed it includes most other streaming services titles
I returned my first device because of constant overheating even on the smallest tasks. The 6a i have now has been fine, 0 complaints would recommended it to every1 for 299.
💡 I am up for retiring my Pixel 2 XL this new year.
Let's see if I can manage to get this or a normal 6.
Somebody explain the lightbulb comments. Also posting this from a 6a. Love this phone so far
Got mines about two weeks ago. Coming from a A02s. Was looking around and this was the best for the price at the time which was around $389 or so. Proforms well, live in the Caribbean and works well here.
Damn, that must have been a really nice upgrade :)
Yes it was. Worth every penny.
@@collinashton8586 How's your battery life? My 6a gets me through a day of work no problem but I often find it to be a bit too low in the evening
@@Rockden It's good, even when I play some games now and again. Nothing to complain about. Use the adaptive charge to charge when I go to bed.
Great Vid 💡
Great video! Typing from my pixel 4a. Where do you get those amazing wallpapers from? Thanks!
I have a choice between a Google pixel 6a or Samsung a14 5g. Leaning toward the pixel. What do you guys think?
I have owned the Google pixel 6 for over a year and it is a fantastic phone, I have been so pleased with it that I have ordered my wife a pixel 6a for her birthday as she likes my phone but felt it was too big, so 🤞she will like the 6a.
Same happened to me with the internet connection but I noticed it's starting to improve over time.
What's the widget lockscreen/wallpaper at 0:21 ??
The best feature is call screening I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned here.
What's that
Hi mate! Awesome video as always, thank you. I’ve been using the iPhone for over 10 years now, currently I’m using the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Lately I’ve felt no need of a phone that expensive, especially when I only use it for social media, calls, emails and some light gaming like clash of clans and Pokémon go. Is the pixel 6a the way to go for me or should I look at something else? I really don’t need a expensive phone, just fast and good camera. All the best.
Where did you get the yellow wallpaper, really suits the phone?
💡just picked up the 6a, unlocked , at best buy for $250. There was a Motorola G stylus 5G 2022 for the same price, but this felt better. I guess we will see.
I have the pixel 4a 5g - the 6a does not sound like much of an upgrade.....
$150 Black Friday + $200 Trade-in= $124 it's what I paid. I like it, it's a good backup phone. But the fingerprint is really bad
I've got one for work and besides wireless charging missing, it's a good phone for the price. Looking forward to the 7A.
3:04 is it possible to have the same style/function of a background on a 4a or is it based off of how new of a Pixel you have?
Fingerprint issue is overblown by other people
only gripe is that charging takes long. from
what lock screen configuration is that? i cant find them in my settings
💡 looking to upgrade from my OnePlus 8 pro and I'm thinking the Pixel 6 or 7 could be it, especially for the price.
So i have been given this phone for free from my mobile phone provider and i am currently using my Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro. I am just wondering if you think i should go for the google phone or is it not a "big" upgrade and i should stick with the Redmi and sell the Google?
Great vid btw, very informative =)
💡
Thanks! This was helpful.
Tbh it seems just like my 3a with a few extra features. I will miss my 3a, but I'm happy with my 6a as well.
I got the oneplus 9 for the holiday deals. It was the same price as the 6a but is better in every way except camera and the software slightly
I used to buy Motorola phones because they seem to have invented all the modern features that everyone else adopted after the fact. But after Motorola got bought by Sony and then passed through three or four other companies stripping it of all its patents it is just not the same. That's when I bought my pixel 3A when it came out, and since I'm an everyday user and a photography fan I have been tickled pink with it. I have had the 3A I want and cast it to my Google Chromecast dongle on my television. It's rare that I find myself using it in bright sunlight outside because I have no need to. And as far as I can tell it it's never slowed down any overtime because I don't load it up with an overwhelming amount of apps or games taking up space. I truly love this phone and when I do get another one it will definitely be a Pixel. 👍🏻🇺🇲👍🏻
Also to add I live in the country and I get great photos of the Milky Way in the middle of the summer using the astrophotography mode. ☄️🪐🛸
❤👍💯 Great review sir!
I've had this awesome device since Xmas 🎄 day & so far so good! 😊
💡 just ordered mine, Google Fi is doing a promotion on em with their phone subscription thing. I can't wait, seems like a great upgrade.
I'm not settling for less than 120hz anymore. After 2 years I'm still happy with my €299 Poco F3.
Nothing phone 1 vs Pixel 6a? Which one do you prefer?
I like your setup 0:51 please make a video on it
If I buy a phone, I keep it for at least 3 years. Do you still recommend it?
Also, I am not a heavy user.
This phone came out at a starting price of $450.00 directly competing against the A53 and 2022 SE it's flaws don't get a pass from me.
Overheating while multitasking isn't acceptable especially when there's Chinese phones like 1+ that do multitasking with ease.🙄🙄🙄
Best smartphone camera for the year 2022.
what kind of always on display you are using its amazing please let us know thank you
I got mine for $50 bucks plus tax with my 4A trade in on black Friday....I'm happy so far
