There's something about fishing in the fall/winter that i love. Even though the snakes are being really finicky right now, the stripers are NOT! Been catching them all week in the shallows and it doesn't matter what I throw out...swimbait, paddletails, spinners, crankbait of all colors and sizes. Just caught my first legal one today. And he's about to go in the oven 😄

It's my first one actually. That I've caught, cleaned, cooked and we'll eat. So I'm pretty stoked!

@@candice585 after this weekend most lakes and Reservoirs will be closed for the winter...so it's gonna be river Crappie,Perch,and Kitty Kat time.
@@HooksetTv I've been waiting for the cats to come back. I figured once the water temperature cooled they'd start coming back into the causeway, but I haven't caught a cat since April...even at night. Have to go out into the bay/deep water to get them. I only eat the Blues. Their meat tastes a lot better than the mud cats or the flatheads. If you want to catch a lot of catfish, they LOVE Rofo chicken! Seriously! It works LOL

Gesh!!!!! Id love to go fishing with you guys.. I havnt seen many white perch. i mis em, i think they are one of our better eating fish in the bay, I use a beer batter with Old Bay, Kinda spicy but damm, so good when deep fried to perfection. that cat looks good to. real nice channel cat. Maybe do a cath and fish fry vid. interested in how you guys do em. i also have a channel, i dont think its ganna be much of a Striper season with new regs.
We had a few nice ones in the bucket by the end of the day,,we were too tired to mess with um so we released them,,,shame I ran out of camera power,,the bite was on!!!

I hope you dont mind me asking but what kind of rig and bait are you using for the white and yellow perch? also, Do you think bobber fishing would work with the baits your using?
Standard 3/4 oz weight at the bottom with a snelled number 4 hook above...floats dont work to well on the rivers because the current rips them pretty good.
