Actually I think this is a smart colourway to release especially the previous one being so "predictable" with brown olive sail kind of earth tones. It's time to freshen up a little to the consumers. Great move by Travis Scott and Air Jordan.
i am the same. i hit on these today and the air 180s, yesterday. (i am in asia). you touched on it near the end: we can’t knock how someone get to the bread. however, i wouldn’t personally flip/sell/trade or pay resell for a shoe - just on GP. that’s not why i got and remain into sneakers. sneakers have never meant to be tactical (for me). i simply like. then, buy. and, then wear them. i can reach out to my network and eventually get something that i want and may not have hit on. at retail. i have never gone for anything that’s overly unattainable. i keep the same energy for collecting vinyl.
You should always wear what you like. If the TS (or any future) shoe you get and you're not going to wear them, then trade them for something you would rock. From the last two TS drops, I see more people with sizes 10M and under can get his sneakers than someone with a larger foot size. All the content creators with a size 10 and under can get his shoe at retail or resell at a decent rate. Someone like me that wears 11/11.5 with TS, we always have to pay resell.
Trading is nothing new for any hobby. The problem are resellers that back door. It is getting to a point where some releases in popular sizes can only be purchased through resell. That is pathetic
Travis Scott, and his influence in the sneaker game, is 100% hype over substance. So, everything he does with Nike is a monetized commodity. This isn’t even the first yellow and blue Jordan. I think you may feel bad because you historically belong to the “Wear your shoes” generation and mindset. Breaking away from that may feel more foreign to you than it feels “wrong”. ✌🏽💙👟

It's a shame that the shoe is not sold in every Nike store. Why do you have to pay four to five times its second-hand price?
