The show has comedic and serious moments but they're to focused on it to even notice the difference 😂😂😂 Up until now they're still taking the main character's dialog seriously. Okabe Rintarou or Hououin Kyouma is what you call "chuunibyou". He has delusions which makes him eccentric.
You know how to tell when a series is god tier? When comment sections have comments with sloppy or poor grammar, and yet those make more sense than the first watch through of the show itself. Peak Fiction, folks.
There are things that happen in episode one that are not fully explained until the last couple of episodes. But it is a fascinating story that keeps getting more and more interesting.
If you like time travel anime, I highly recommend "when the cicadas cry" the anime. Like this one, it's hella confusing then gets so interesting if you stick with it. Watch it and thank me later. Hell I might rewatch it after I do steins gate again
