the edge of glory is truly such a beautiful video, and fans trash it all the time, it's sad, they never care to understand gaga's vision, the way she described here gave me goosebumps
Girl it literally wasn’t her vision 💀 they were in the middle of filming a high budget video and she got mad at the director(?) and intentionally made the video edge of glory bad out of spite
@@mynameiskrysta see, you're making assumptions based on your perception of a situation you don't know about and not caring to understanding gaga's vision.
First, it was HER vision, she didn't get mad at the director out of whim, the director was trying to control gaga's vision and preferences, they had creative differences and he refuse to collaborate with gaga artistically, what she did was taking back control as an artist, it was her choice to stop the whole rolling and make what SHE wanted to make, she said they had disagreements about fundamental philosophies of life and art, so she must've feel like the whole thing was derailing of what the song was really about in the first place.
"intentionally made the video bad out of spite" doesn't make any sense, why would she self-sabotage her own artistry making something bad to spite someone else? the video is not bad in any sense, more simple, yes, but simplicity doesn't equal bad, the opposite, it is much better than a bunch of meaningless maximalism, which is probably what we would've gotten if she just did what she was told by the director and succumbing to external pressures and projections.
people were trying to put her in a box and thinking that she was nothing without all the eccentricism with elaborate fashion and plot lines, she did this to rebel against all that, just her, in one outfit, dancing and performing freely in those fire escapes, banging her head and raising her fist under the city dawn, kissing the floor of the streets that gave birth to her, accompanied only by Clarence Clemons, being his last filmed appearance before he passed away just a few weeks after. this video is magical and meaningful, so sad people see only what's in the utmost surface.
@@inma5665 im not reading that cause of the first sentence, because you arbitrarily think that your perception of this situation that you were ALSO not a part of either is, for some reason, more correct than what I know of it. Also stanhood tends to breed delusion of grand artistry in menial impulsive decisions, which I know gaga to make often in her art.

@@mynameiskrysta My perception is not based on assumptions, this is not even only what gaga has said about the situation, but also what the director Joseph Kahn has said himself, stating that he doesn't co-direct or collaborate with artists in that way, conversely, you were not only not part of the situation like me or everyone else, but don't know well about it which is what i meant.
Never did i have a pretense of grand elevated artistry at all either, it was just about artistic integrity and standing up for yourself.
You still don't care about understanding gaga's sensibilities and vision as an artist, which further proofs my point, this has nothing to do with "stanhood" or stan culture which i'm not a part of, but it seems to me that you are.

wow I never knew that the blue and red really represented a meaning in the video while she was dancing. Very cool that she brought those same colors and it was probably a reference to her old album title red and blue before she was Lady Gaga.

2:27 Shout out to her unreleased album "Red and Blue" that she was working on as Stefani when she was 19 on her previous label before her debut album"The Fame", now I see why she gave it that title, it dealt with those same opposites, a 'yin yang' is a constant theme on her music and album concepts, love it! and is like she sings on her unreleased song "I'm old school and you're so new" "when you're cold, I like to burn" xD so cute! Also great concept for "The Edge of Glory" music video, living somewhere between reality and fantasy at all times, between life and death, between right and wrong ♥️ I loved the visuals so much, the lights and the fog, also seeing old Gaga dancing brings so much nostalgia, she was forever captured on that music video, that same Gaga will never come back but she will live forever. ❤️💙🎶💅🏻😭
