  • Tom Carper is a Bronco guy. This is one of hundreds of Broncos he has owned over the years. Although he admits to parting out Broncos, he's one of those Bronco guys who loves being a part of the community and working on these Classic Ford Broncos.
This is Toms 1972 Baja Stroppe Edition Ford Bronco. It has all the bells and whistles and is a genuine Stroppe Bronco.

Just gotvback from the Bronco RoundUp in Florence,Oregon. really god turn out of all versions of Bronco. Wish they were still available at a somewhat reasonable price. Here in the West, California has inflated the prices so much! Every TV show ,commercial, music video out of Cali. has an early Bronco in it!! Todd the retired trucker.

I inherited a 73 from my dad that I always remember being a stroppe. When he bought it in the 80s it was the multi color you traditionally find, but he restored it using the poppy red color only. Last year did I have VIN confirmed as a Stroppe build. Glad to see that this one tone version was an option, since mine basically represents the same. I’ve felt bad that it was not kept original.

Great vid!. reading a few of the comments... Kelly, I agree. This is getting out of hand commercially with this bronco craze, taking it away and out of grasp for a lot of people to get into now.... Great for all of the aftermarkets such as TBP, WH, Bronco graveyard and more! Good on them as they've always been great to deal with and have been there from the start but I like watching Nash and Matts Garage b/c of the little bit of nastalgia.. the memories. I'm 40 and my father still owns his 70 bronco sport off of the showroom floor... never allowed the top to come off of it.. lol.. as kids always going fishing in it.. I own my own 70 as well that i picked up from medford back in 2007. on a mad dash stateside as I'm from central Alberta. My one brother just finished restoring his.. and my other brother .. well, lets say.. his will be running one day. haha... Shout out to Nashville, and all the rest ... don't see A-rod , jeremy piven, simon cowel or the other celebs joining anyone anytime soon down at the rallies. ;)

From the title I expected a bit of history on the Stroppes.

Interesting, my 72 has the same power steering set up even though power steering wasn't offered until 73. Mine is an early 72, built in September of 71. Anyone have any ideas on why my 72 has PS? Not a Stroppe, looks to be a factory set up.

Interesting. Are you the original owner? if not maybe someone took the power steering out of a parted out 73 - 77 and put it in your Bronco before you bought it? Like the video says, thats how folks got parts back then was parting out Broncos and putting the pieces on other ones.

@@BajaBronco408 No not the original owner, at some point probably the 90's a previous owner put some time and money into it and now I'm doing a complete ground up restoration. So who knows how it got PS? I do have the Marti report for it, just an ordinary bronco, nothing special. Thanks

Hey Jon...what have you heard about the new 2020 Ford Broncos....specs....chassis specs etc? With restomod first generation Broncos fetching 100 to 200k....Im trying to think outside the box. If Ford really wanted to be cool and honor the past then why not make a chassis that would fit a vintage Bronco. That way we all could have the best of both worlds....the old school look of a 1966 to 1977 model with modern drivetrain, powerplant, braking, suspension systems. Your thoughts please good sir....
