    No idea why this and just about everything Rove touched didn't survive -S....The Project is somehow worse than this show (it did have some good skits ngl, but was largely bad). The Project is simply quantifiably bad and offers nothing of value to society, comedy or otherwise.

      In Australia, it is cheaper for (Australian) channels to purchase foreign programs than it is for Australian channels to create their own material. To ensure that Australian television didn't have only foreign programs, the government installed a rule that if a channel didn't have at least, a particular amount of Australian footage then that channel would be punished. So Australian channels tries to create Australian footage for as cheap as possible, regardless of the quality so they can then spend the money on shows that Australians will actually watch.
      It is the reason why shows like The Project still exist despite how bad and unpopular it is...
