This movie was masterpiece. Talented Madhavan deserved more films in Bollywood.
To be frank he has typical orthodox Tamilian looks. He does not have a chiseled face and jaw line, good body and slightly lighter complexion necessary for a Bollywood actor.

Back in the days when I watched it, I felt Saif was so kabab in haddi in this movie, but now I realize he was just the perfect cast for this. Better than his Tamil counterpart of the movie.
