Damn this show was ahead of its time. Instead of some cat petting maniac, we have people who are worst than others, but still have a heart to recover. Joy became that horrible cheating wife who throws people under the bus, to a empathic who will act rude, but try her best to not make anything miserable. Earl is probably the greatest every man in tv since hank hill. People say today sucks, but it's better than before, it's just changing from your original perception or you were to young to know about the bad stuff.
They were so real people couldn't understand them. The characters had depths of character and complexity that just doesn't resonate in a world that can only see in black and white.
this is the first time I''ve watched Earl since the series ended, when that guitar started I almost choked, John Prine and Earl are 2 of my al time favorites. I had forgotten they used Prine's music for this.
This always reminds me of that one girl I met when my mom went to visit her friend to an old farm. Playing at the creek catching dragonfly, picking fruits, what an awesome weekend, by those times no social media or cellphones existed, I wonder how is she now 💕
brilliant, cute and hilarious at the same time. great writing and acting. love how randy instead of giving her his hat, throws it in the lake. and that paddle boat has a serious tilt... song is john prine.
This hits me right in my emotions! Although, I'm very glad, and very blessed to be happily married to my biggest crush from when I was still a youth! I'm hooked on the re-runs....they are still good for a laugh.....i think the real appeal of the show is that deep down we all wish we could fix the errors on our own personal life list. What do you think?

Glad I got to feel like this once, always regretted not making a move, after years I finally understood she was at fault too for sending me too many mixed signals because she was not sure we were gonna work, and now rather than regretting never telling her I can look back and think fondly of the first and so far only time I've felt this.

Reading these comments brought me back to holding hands with my cousin's beautiful best friend coming back from a beautiful day with family at Boblo Island Amusement Park! I'd crushed on this girl for a few years by then. We were sailing down the Detroit River on the SS Columbia (She was built in 1902) sitting on top deck in folding chairs feet from the wheel house, I felt like Jack and Rose in that scene on the Titanic!
