One of our producers Kirill Poudavoff from @kpoudavoff plays tenor sax over our backing track for Georgia from Essential Jazz Repertoire Volume 3.
Dexter Gordon..
Amazing! Congratulations!
Absolutely gorgeous tone 👌
Absolutely awesome.
Yeah, this guy is a monster! 🔥
Love that tone dude, very full and smooth.
I’m almost done setting my studio
If it was audio only, I'd swear it was Dexter Gordon. 👍
YEAH👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾❤️
Awesome, love this guy! He was great in the chicken video too. His tone is sooooo smooooth. Great job.
I don’t remember being in the chicken video? Lmao
You had less hair. 😂
@@bettertrax5640 yeah, and was 50 pounds lighter lmao. Damn pandemic 😂
Very nice!
Awsome tone ! Great piece of music ! thank you !
I wonder if this guy likes dexter... Sounds great!
Pretty safe to assume Dexter is a massive inspiration to him. You can hear a lot of Dexter in his phrasing and articulation. I can also hear him sticking bits of other songs in there just like Dexter did
Nice job with this piece. Are you playing on a Jodi Jazz CHI 7* piece? Looks and sounds like it. Have you tried the Jodi Jazz Giant 8* ? Not too much more to push on a littler softer reed and it can get good lushness also.
Thanks. It’s a 1949 Dukoff Hollywood 6*. I play metal pieces only and am curious about CHI model, hope to try it one day.
@@kpoudavoff You’ll enjoy it, or their New York model also with its darker quality. Still, what you have is working great.
@@kpoudavoff It's great but judging by the pieces you've played so far, I think you'd find it a little bright for your taste. I think you'll really like the falcon woodwinds DR.
@@kpoudavoff Get @Better Sax to send one to u for a trial or something im sure he'd help a friend like u
@@kpoudavoff obviously I mean Jay Metcalf when I say that. just don't wanna cause confusion
Still waiting for Kirill to show baritone some love.
What make/model tenor sax is Kirill playing? Mouthpiece? The octave key ring resembles a Conn..
Conn 10M 1946, 1949 Dukoff Hollywood
@@kpoudavoff thank you! Kirill, I think you're tremendous! I'm sure you probably get that a lot, but you deserve it! I have recently purchased a 1962 Conn 16M, and she's been restored... Could I send you a photo? -Bill Hicks
@@kpoudavoff what about the 45 model
@@nickh-w1563 different model. More flat sound.
@@kpoudavoff What do you mean by flat sound
first
2:46 another dex line spotted! From which tune again I forgot 😅
Not a dex line, it’s a four quote
@@kpoudavoff yes but dex played it somewhere right?
Do u still have ur 1945 dukoff Hollywood?
Yes
