I am going to say this they vary season one so badly that I really was going to stop watching it until episode 12 and after reading hundreds and hundreds of comments I wasn't the only one I seriously did not think there was going to be a season 2 that's how badly 1 through 11 was and then came episode 12 and that awesome awesome song by ruelle you all know that really really put the icing on the cake... Great job Harry Shum Jr Matthew Daddario for bringing those characters to life and doing such an awesome job at it and by the way looking hot too it could not have found two better people for Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood .roles it's kind of sad to say but this show really do ride on them and Katherine McNamara and Dominic Sherwood characters.. We know that you've been spicing It Up by changing it as I said before as an fan I'm okay with that:-) :-) keep up the good work everybody can't wait for season 3 already and season 2 hasn't even ended yet
I started Shadowhunters because of this award and I bingewatched every ep on Netflix, it's a great and very inclusive show. Malec has become one of my favorite couples!
I fucking love Malec, and the series. The production companies that made the show possible are awesome. But I think that Cassandra Clare deserves a little bit more recognition for creating the characters. (but that's just my opinion).
ER CLC as much as I appreciate her coming up with the concept in the first place, the creators and writers and actors on the show have stated many times that they're taking a very different path with The characters than was depicted in the books. the relationship in the books was rather unhealthy and the one in the show is a healthy, communicating relationship of two people who respect each others' boundaries and their past relationships (or lack thereof). I once read someone who said that the book version of the relationship was the rough draft and that Shadowhunters is a final copy, and I can't help but agree.
I totally agree. I didn't read the books, but I've read some excerpts of Malec in the books and it seemed like a much more immature relationship. Both Magnus and Alec int he show seem to have a healthy relationship based on communication and mutual understanding, even if they make mistakes along the way. And also it's great that the show is portraying their character development so well and how the relationship changed them. I don't want to give such opinion without reading the books, but from what I've seen I think I prefer Malec from the show.
7Mushrooms7 Well, Alec was 17 when their relationship started, so yeah, their relationships was pretty intense at the beginning. But they are now happy and have children, and are the epitome of the couple with the picket fence and the dog (only it's a cat, and a penthouse )
I love them so much. Thay played and STILL playing their rolls very perfectly. I love MALEC and their lovely,healthy relationship together and I love the show soo much♡
