Thank you for this helpful guide. I have just bought a new LG dryer that is slightly deeper than my new LG washer (though they are the same width and height). Can I still stack them like this? Thanks!
Hey there! We'll be more than happy to look into this for you. If we may ask, can you provide the model number of both of your units? This will help us identify if they are both compatible to be stacked! ^Anthony
Hello, can you please let me know what exactly are the differences between stacking kit KSTK1 vs KSTK4. Does anything change at all, even if minor: Thanks in advance.
Hi there, Both the LG 27'' Laundry Front Load Stacking Kit, Model # KSTK4 and the older LG 27" Laundry Front Load Stacking Kit, Model # KSTK1 are designed for compatibility with LG Front Load Washers and their matching LG Electric/Gas Dryers that have a width of 27" and support the stacking of LG 27" wide front load dryers on top of their matching LG Front Load washer models. ~ Tanisha
I was wondering the exact same thing. My washer product page still calls out the KSTK1 as the only recommended part, but it’s discontinued. I’m glad to hear that the KSTK4 can be used. :D
But how about for dual control it says only supported by KSTK4, O have matched stacking kit which is HSTK1B, will kit make difference? Is there some electronic components or cable on one or the other ?
Hey Curtis! They definitely can! Remember that the washer must be on the bottom, and here's the compatible stacking kit KSTK1. If you have any questions, please private message us on social media @LGUSSupport with your contact information, model, and serial number. We're here to help - just a DM away. ^Gaby
I would like to stack dryer DLHC5502B on top of WM6700HBA. Can I use KSTK4 referenced in the washer manual or do I have to use HSTK1B references in the dryer manual?
Hey there! Washer (WM6700HBA) and Dryer (DLHC5502B) are able to stack with stacking kit model KSTK4. We hope this information helps out! Enjoy your new LG washer and dryer! ~ Jupe
Hello there. If you do need to pull it back, carefully pull the dryer back off the washer and redo the stacking process, ensuring you remove the paper covering the double-sided tape this time. Following the manufacturer's instructions precisely is important for proper and safe installation of the stacking kit. Taking the time to redo it correctly will help prevent any potential issues down the line from an improper stacking setup. Should you have other concerns, please send us a private message on Facebook or Twitter and we'll be happy to assist you further. ^Jolly
Hello, I want to stack old dryer DLEX2501W on new washer WM3400CW. Do I need stacking kit KSTK1 or KSTK4? Also, I have the old stacking kit WSTK1. Will that still work? Thank you!
Hi, Andrew! Thanks for reaching out. To stack your old dryer DLEX2501W on your new washer WM3400CW, you'll need the LG Stacking Kit KSTK1, as it's compatible with your washer and dryer models.
