I think Kolkata metro had 4 coaches before when it started in 1984. It was later made 8 coaches (except line 2 which has same BEML rake and 6 coaches). There was also ladies coaches on both ends however, it was discontinued as many commuters including women faced difficulties due to this

I have seen a Purple Line Train even after 6 coach upgradation, on the Green Colour Nagasandra - Yelachenahalli Section. The train was bound for Nagasandra. I caught it when I had been 2 Vaishnavi Sapphire Mall on Republic Day 2020, 2 C Tanhaji Unsung Warrior at PVR Cinemas..
Same question also came to my mind when I travelled from KR Puram to Cubbon park

First time when I saw green line metro on purple line, I did not step into it, I got confused, I thought I was somewhere else lol
Yeah I have witnessed this during the evening times when I was travelling from vidhna soudha to biyapanahalli the green 🚂🚋🚃🚋🚃🚋🚃 came off suddenly and I was confused but there was an announcement that this train is reaching the biyapanahalli.
But Kempe Gowda station Majestic is a station where Green line And Purple Connects
Hi MRB I am from Chennai and l use Chennai metro often.when I have travelled I have noted a strange thing. The platform of central metro station is very lengthy which could even accomodate a 10-coach train but on the other hand I feel that the length of platform in some smaller stations like Nanganallur road doesn't seem that long.can you make a video on the length of platforms in stations of Chennai metro?
Central Metro has been made to handle more passengers. Station size is based on footfall. Nanganallur road is far off from Nanganallur residential area at GST road which has no parking on that. This can't be compared with central which is planned to serve large movement of people as there are several important offices and railway junctions!
Yeah that's true but in future if the ridership increases and if they have to make the trains 6/8-coach ones then will stations with small platforms be able to accomodate that lengthy train.

using LED's that change color would be a good idea here. Change the color to match the line, Voila! say good bye to confusion.

Wouldn't there be more flexibility if all trains had the same colour? Matching the train color to the lines gives a marginal advantage at best, but is confusing at worst when they have to resort to running trains with the wrong colour.

Please make a video on recent activity of East West And North South Kolkata metro after lockdown when they have just began trial runs for maintainence check up and all so based on whats the recent updates of precaution and safety recently used in both metro lines and inside of the rakes and approximately from when metro may be starting after the trials are over.. based on all such points please make a video.. As of Kolkata metro these kind of updates arent available in news or anything much.. So please kindly its a request if possible make one. expecting to see soon..
