We must offer respect and love to all beings, especially vaisnavas and even including other spiritual traditions. ISKCON is amazing and so are all branches of Nitais tree. Thank you for your heartfelt message and passing the trap of criticism. Bhaja Nitai Gaura Radhe Shyam, Japa Hare Krsna, Hare Rama.
Thanks a lot for the video. Premananda Bharati was a follower of Prabhu Jagadbandhu. You can also recall Mahanambrata Brahmachari, who met with a young Thomas Merton, and was also associated with Jagadbandhu prabhu.
The concern is more about the parampara system in ISKCON, how genuine is it? spiritual lineage is crucial for authentic realization both in shaktism or shivism. If someone is not linked to a bonafide parampara, it will indeed pose risks to spiritual progress. Additionally, differences in diksha mantras within ISKCON compared to gaudiaya Vaishnava tradition points out that they want only krishna (krishnanites) but if you read the scriptures of our acaryas(visvanatha cakravati thakura, Rupa Goswami, jiva Goswami, Narotham Das thakura, etc) you will know that all krishna upasana is of raganuga bhakti ONLY, . It’s essential to ensure faith is grounded in a balance of guru, sadhus, and shastra of the sampradya. Proper sadhana is vital, as merely following the crowd will not lead to spiritual advancement. Not everyone will have realization before they leave the body but once your are connected to a bonafide sampradya and follow guru, then you will attain Radha Krishna. Jai Radhe ❤
It is genuine. It’s just a very big organization at this point, with many wanting to take initiation from a Prabhupada disciple who have too many disciples to guide. Meaning that it’s too much focus on diksha and not appreciating the value of taking siksa from sadhus around who are more advanced. Another problem is that ISKCON members are not so keen on reading Prabhupadas books. So the understanding of siddhanta and culture gets slacken and then the devotees become Sundayfeast bhaktas with no advancement, even the initiated ones. It’s not that bad, but there is definitely room for improvement everywhere.
Many argue that the parampara system of Iskcon is just made up, after all Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati does not have a diksha Guru (yeah there is controversy) and gave Sannyas to himself, obviously there is no tridandi Sanyas in Gaudiya Vaishnavism, and so on. But on the other side i must admit that I couldnt even be considered a human being based on my lifestyle before iskcon. So I think I must be grateful to Srila Prabhupad. Which path do you follow, if I may ask?
Please we need to be clear of what is parampara of a sampradya first before you say it's genuine. If the foundation is wrong then forget anything about realisation. Expect in rare cases of divine intervention. So according to ISKCON, any dedicated spiritual aspirant can take the picture of his Guru and give himself intimation (I'm shocked to hear this). How will someone based their life-long spiritual journey in such strange foundation. Gaudiaya Vaishnavism is the highest of God realisation and it's not meant for everyone, so watering down the philosophy destroys the sadhaka from attaining any spiritual realisation what so ever. You only end up losing the ultimate goal Nitai Gaura Prema. It is will be most unfortunate to have come in contact of mahaprabhu but fail to attain the precious gift he came to give to all jivas of Kali Yuga. Radhe Radhe 🙏
@@sebastianfischer498 I’m a Brahmacari in ISKCON, initiated by a disciple of Srila Prabhupada. Since there are advanced devotees in ISKCON, the process must work. They are there, you just have to find them. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakura should not be copied. He took initiation from Srila Gaura Kisore dasa Babaji Maharaja as we learned from Srila Prabhupada, and he gave himself sannyasa. We cannot do that. We accept Srila Bhaktisiddhanta as a nitya-siddha straight from Goloka Vrndavana, a manjari actually. If you read about his life and achievements you can understand why the age and reverence is there. So whatever he did, he could do but we cannot copy. I’ve also heard that his appearance is mentioned in shastra also, I cannot remember where though. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta was the one who brought back the Varnashrama system of introducing Brahmacari a and sannyasis again also. If I remember correctly it was because he wanted to show that Gaudiya Vaisnavas are goṣṭhy-ānandīs, preachers, and not bhajanānandīs, who are satisfied with just sitting on one place and chanting 24/7. This is the mood of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu. So yes Srila Bhaktisiddhanta did some revolutionary things, and Srila Prabhupada took up the same mood and successfully brought it to us, and made us human beings. I hope this cleared things up for you.🙏🏼
@@Bhaktajacob wait, where have you heard this, that ISKCON is saying that you can take a picture of Guru and give yourself initiation? I’ve not been in ISKCON for long, six years. But in those six years I’ve never, ever heard anyone say that this is the standard of initiations in ISKCON. Who have told you this? Besides, Srila Prabhupada is following guru, sadhu, shastra very strictly. But he had such an intelligence as to how to apply the principles but according to time place and circumstance. Sometimes he had to make compromises just to get the organization started. And Prabhupada got criticized like anything by his Godbrothers. But he didn’t care. Anyway, scholarly devotees in ISKCON have been doing some research in Gaudiya scriptures and found that Prabhupada is following the principles laid down in pancarartika, Hari-Bhakti vilasa, Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu and more. Prabhupada knew what he was doing. But the challenge is to surrender, that cannot be done with any adjustments in the organization, that must be done by the sadhaka. And surrender means to do what should be done, and don’t do what should not be done. Going to kirtana is easy, taking prasadam is easy, take initiation is easy(for some maybe). Surrender? Forget it! “Don’t tell me what to do!”, “look, I’m initiated ok I don’t do dishes anymore”. Plus another thing. Many are coming to ISKCON temples, some just for kirtan, some just for prasadam, some just to meet people. People can come with so many motives, and not many want to take up some Japa-mala and chant 16 rounds daily and follow four regulated principles. Those with brahminical qualities may appreciate it. The process works, for those want to take the process seriously.🙏🏼
