This is absolutely amazing and whoever says it's not the same as the original is because it is not supposed to be, he is making a cover and a cover is in his version and matching his voice.
I understand that Ed's cover cannot compare to Liam singing Wonderwall but it's a sweet rendition nevertheless. For those who dislike rock or music with heavy emphasis on instruments, it's actually a good cover to enjoy .

People are so narrow minded nowadays. You can't think of this as Wonderwall by Oasis. You have to think of this and any other cover as a completely different song. And if you're saying Ed has no talent then you have no idea what a musician is. I saw Ed on his most recent multiply tour and in the beginning of a song he broke his high E string and played out the rest of the song perfectly. If you're a guitarist you know how difficult that would be if you have notes on that string. So everyone play nice and let's have a peaceful UA-cam.

Idk why people are hating on this cover. Firstly, IT'S A COVER. He's able to put his own twist into it so it doesn't sound identical to the original (which gets boring). Secondly, I think he did it very very well. I like the chilled out vibes with this. In my opinion, I think it suits the lyrics of the song better- but that's just me. I'm glad he did this, and honestly, he did a heck of a job. ACE!

I'm a massive Oasis fan, but I don't see the point in slating a guy who covers one of their tunes in a way as good as this. Of course it's not going to be as good, or as real as the original but big time respect for playing it with such heart and having the balls for stealing the idea off Ryan Adams :)

This was 6 years ago Ed played this cover he had barely any tattoo but the paw on the inside of his right arm. Once I release it was the Ryan Adam version and it wasn't going to be the exactly like oasis it was an awesome cover you can hear Ed put this heart and soul into every word his singing. Even if the person is ignorant to the fact that what they are covering is a cover they are still technically covering the original. unless your claim is somehow that plagiarism is justified as long as the original author is forgotten? or perhaps you mean that as long as its only part of someones song but in that event that is called a sample and a true artist will site as much in there song credits i would hope, else the plagiarism thing is still the same case. No matter how you look at it saying "cover of a cover" is just silly. if you wanna give some one kudos for there artistic rendition i completely get that but no amount of artistry gives them reign over the original writers craft.
Let's stop and take a step back for a moment. Let's all show some respect to this channel for 2 major points. 1- this channel is unbelievably Lucky that Ed is the way he is and covered this song the way he did. 2- what this channel paid him to do it should be quadrupled, I suspect it was close to free of charge but in any case. There is a reason we are watching it here and not Ed's channel... Ed is humbly, all about the music. No hater was born to automatically disregard talent. Some just want to be with what they know.
