Damn the Virtuoso lineup is so easy to repair, what a refreshing change of pace from the usual chinesium battery powered peripherals i've used before. Love my V XT's, happy to see they'll be easy to service in the future and potentially last me a decade plus.
Battery finally gave out, but thankfully I ordered this battery ahead of time, and in less than ten minutes, it's working again! Saved me a new pair of headphones!
Im so stoked, headset is currently charging. A pleasant surprise that shipped from within the states, I was expecting weeks for shipping it was instead days. ahhh thank you so much I really love this headset.
Just finished the replacement battery install and it was a great success. One thing i will note is that i purchased the battery from your link in this video and the battery i got was slightly different. Mainly the ground wire being yellow. All ratings for the battery were correct. After calling a trusted electrician he told me that in usa ground is always white but in uk and asia yellow would be what to expect. Satisfied i completed the install. Headset powered up but when wireless mode was entered had the dreaded flashing red even after alowing headset to charge for 1hr. To fix this i unplugged wireless dongle. Plug in usb cord. Switch headset to usb mode. Colors shift and lands on green. Hold mic button for 2 minuets (srs) after 15 seconds lights will stop but keep holding. After time is up release mic button colors shift and come back to green. Plug in wireless dongle. Unplug usb cord. Switch to wireless mode. Headset should now work wirelessly with no hassle from icue or firmware.
Thanks for sharing. My Virtuoso RGB SE still charges OK but I can tell the charge is not as good as it used to be. Have had the headset for 3 years now. One of my favorite headsets altogether. Great mic, audio is decent, and although they look bulky they are very comfortable especially with your replacement pads.
Hi, I had my virtuoso's for like a year and a half and for the last 4 months the audio and microphone drops for like 1 to 5 seconds at the time. the device does not disconnects form the PC, it just stops transmiting audio in and out. Some days it never happens and others it happens every 5 minutes, any clue on what it could be?
If you do this, Make sure you push and hold the mic mute button down for ~15 seconds to force the headset to internally reset and accept the new battery, otherwise your battery alerts will continue like they were with the old battery, at least that was my experience.
Do you know a safe way to remove/dissolve excess glue? I have a refurbished Virtuoso, and when I tried to pry the battery out, I realized there's mounds of dried glue all around it, and I can't pry it out. Otherwise, thank you so much for this video. Hoping you have some ideas to help me!
Great video, thanks so much, will definitely buy when the time comes. Do you happen to have anything to repair/replace the headband cushion? Mine is starting to wear away. I think it's partially due to the rubberized material on the storage hook I use that rubs on the headband. Thank you!
0:52 I'm considering upgrading the drivers in my SE model. When I get to this speaker housing, there are a couple of screws but still no obvious way to get it open. I'm guessing that there is a plastic clip or some adhesive I just can't see. Has anyone successfully opened that bit?
Do you know if it's possible to remove and replace the outer plastic bit of the earpiece of the Virtuoso? Mine has stress cracks forming in multiple areas, so far I've replaced the headband, the earpads, and the USB c cable in my headset. I'll likely be replacing the battery within the next year or so
Given that the original is 1200 mAh and the replacement shown here is 1500 mAh, both at 3.7 V nominal, one can easily calculate the replacement *should last about 1.25x as long (a 25% increase in mAh when voltage remains constant is equivalent to a 25% increase in Wh, i.e. total energy stored).

Glad we can help. Our battery will also give you about 50% more time.
Much easier than replacing the battery on the Void Pro, thanks for the tutorial!
Just ordered my new battery. Thanks for the video and the product.
Thanks for the order. We will get it shipped out shortly. Glad we can help ! 😃💯
Awesome video!!! Headset is finally back up and running.

Thank you for sharing. I've had my Virtuoso for almost 3 years and the battery can barely hold it's charge and replacing it seems simple enough.
Glad we can help 💯
i know this is a but of an old video, but i just got these headphones and they wont charge. would a replacement battery fix this issue?
Thanks for reaching out. When you plug it in to charge does the led indicate it’s charging?

Hello, thanks for your question. We do not carry headband pads at this time for this model. Perhaps in the future.
Do you know what's the extact width of that battery? Considering to replace mine.
Thanks Pal. Great tutorial.
My pleasure!

Hello Thomas, you can send us a message with pics. We're not sure which plastic bit you are referring to.
will they no longer even turn on with a bad battery? not sure if my USB port is dead or if battery is no good
Hello, you should be able to see a led light up when plugged in to charge, even if the battery is dead.
@@CentralSound Ok I suspect a bad USB port, wish my luck in changing that
One question remains. Why is there so much free space while the headset holds barely through a gaming evening?
I reeeeally wish your replacement ear pads came in the brown, I'd buy a pair in an instant
Maybe we will get that color in.
@@CentralSound If you did I'd buy a set and the battery, I've been using my headset daily for work for the last 3 years and it needs both!
Someone know what size the battery is?
Nice, i will order a new battery soon, hope you deliver in europe.
Yes we do deliver to Europe
How long to ship to Canana?
Brother i just bought mine and it comes in tmm im so hype to get my headset back up and running
How much more battery life does your battery provide for the headset vs its original?
Given that the original is 1200 mAh and the replacement shown here is 1500 mAh, both at 3.7 V nominal, one can easily calculate the replacement *should last about 1.25x as long (a 25% increase in mAh when voltage remains constant is equivalent to a 25% increase in Wh, i.e. total energy stored).
They made the XT model different D: the plug is under the green thing now... idk how to get that to work without breaking my headset
will these battery work with the XT ?
Hello, it should work on the XT.
This is the same with the XT?
Yes
If the battery is not charging, would replacing it fix it?
Possibly, it could be the charge port.
Thank you!
The fact that the ear pads twist off clockwise is frustrating lol. It's against logic
Yeah it is 🙃
thank you a lot for the clear tutorial and explanations! this is a very useful video! 😃😃😃😃🦾🦾
Glad it was helpful!
