The stuff hanging from the trees is called spanish moss.
Make sure you take in Tybee Island! The avenue in Savannah on the route there is double laned with oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. Alot of the homes that line that avenue were winter homes for plantation owners.
Tybee hosts a version of Mardi Gras on the beach. that's fantastic!

I loved Savannah when we lived just south of there for two years.
Savannah has a Riverwalk area that's yuppyish and hosts one of the largest St. Patrick's Day festivals (some day I'll be there again🙂).
Lots of soldiers and folks buried under the main part of town and under the main park ," in the garden of good and evil " you should rent the movie ,😘🦋💞🇺🇲

I think they're called magnolia trees and it's Spanish moss that's hanging from them
You don't want to get either too close or touch that Spanish moss! That's where redness (chiggers) nest and they will swarm you and you'll itch for days. (I'm speaking from experience! Lol).
By the way, that was general Sherman who burned all the towns and what not in the South.

I’ve been to Savannah and love it there,. It’s pretty cool to see you at places where I’ve been. Haven’t watched the ideo yet,,,just started,,,hope you get to see South if the Border. That place is awesome. Hope you got to see River Street and the park Forrest Gump was sitting in in the movie. The stuff hanging from a lot of the trees is spanish moss.

The owner of Sorrel-Weed is actually a regular at my job at the antique mall in Savannah and he's such an oddball, but he's nice! Check out the antique stores down here, Picker Joes and Wright Square are some cool joints.
Those trees are mossy oaks/ live oak. Love em! They have a bunch in and around Charleston, South Carolina, where we normally vacation.

I believe those trees are cypress trees with Spanish moss on them (the fluffy hangy-down stuff). I'm enjoying your travels!

You should do Saint Augustine for paranormal stuff. Its so haunted. And talk about beautiful!!!! Christmas time there will leave you speechless. And Angelo, that stuff hanging down off the trees is spanish moss. Its even on the trees in Saint Augustine too.

Ya I think most states have cemeteries like that at least that are close together....here in nh for sure they are like that!! I think the trees are much different though and more beautiful down south!!

Spanish moss is what is hanging down from the trees. I tried to take some home to put in my trees because I heard it spreads fast. Bad idea as it is filled with horrid mites.

The trees are oak and Spanish Moss is epiphytic flowering plant that grows up these trees. Now we both learned something new today cause I didn't know that either 😃 I've been enjoying your videos and volgs 👍👍✌️
