This is a very useful video, I’ve attempted to replace a few transistors with no idea what I was doing and I damaged some traces so it’s nice to have a tutorial like this. Very helpful for anyone who already knows how to solder but not exactly perfect at it.
This video is a huge help! Working on circuit boards wasn’t in my skill set, but I have 2 things that need a new component (a Christmas trio band and a Donna head dropper) so this will give me the advantage I need. I have a nice soldering station that I got for Christmas last year and it’s a blessing to have!
I had a question regarding the board in the og lurching vampire, the leds aren’t working and I did troubleshoot it back to the board. I can’t figure out what is bad in the board exactly, I did replace the resistor that one of the led wires went too but still didn’t work. What component would be causing this? Is it a specific capacitor? I can pretty much repair anything mechanical but don’t know a whole lot about boards
Unfortunately no as time goes on the components get older and can just eventually fail.... However you can always prevent this by using the proper adapter with proper voltage and amperage! This ensures longevity in your items electrical and mechanical parts, although nothing on these last forever, unfortunately....
Thank you for making this video, I hope I can utilise this information to fix my skiing santa! Could you link that UA-cam video on how to test a transistor, and also where you got your most commonly used transistors? Thanks!
I'm glad someone finally showed this

15:35 I needed this info.

Is there a way to make sure your board never fries?

Do you have a link to the transistors?
The transistors you just need to type in for example b772 transistor on Amazon or ebay and they'll come up no problem
@@gemmymasteranimatronics768 thank you!
