Road to playoff options: All teams in the Power4 conference championship games (8 teams) get a bye. The 2 best teams that played in a G5 conference championship game (2 teams) get a bye. This makes playing in a conference championship game matter. The winners of their conference championship games get a home game for their first match-ups game. This will make winning the conference championship games matter. During the byes of those 10 qualifier teams, the next best 12 teams play to get 6 teams for wildcard selection. This way, everyone plays same number of games going into the Sweet 16. Only teams that might end up playing an extra game are those in G5 that ranked lower than 12 like say Army but at least they will get a chance to compete for a wildcard spot rather than being left out. The wildcard games kick off the playoffs final 16 selection. Shorten the regular season to 10 games and no scheduling FCS teams. Power4 teams must schedule 1 game from each of the remaining Power4 conferences and 1 game from G5. G5 teams must schedule 1 team from the remaining G5 conferences and 1 team from a Power4 conference. This means everyone will have at least 4 games in the FBS that is against another conference that can play spoiler in rankings even if you schedule the other conferences bottom teams. Wildcard selection means teams like Ole Miss, South Carolina, BYU, Iowa State, Miami, and Colorado could get in as wildcards.
exactly. but if they really want that go5 autobid, they can have the 8 seed and the 9 seed (highest ranked go5 champ) play each other for a spot where the 8 seed would go 8/9v1 7v2 7v3 5v4
@@whatlol_eno group of 5 team actually deserves a chance at a championship, the level of competition is nowhere near near that of the power 4. Make it exclusive to the power conferences. The little group of 5 teams can have their own insignificant playoff!
@aubreysmith191 tell that to 2006 boise state, 2008 utah, 2010 tcu, 2010 boise state, and 2017 ucf. it would be a harmless addition to the playoffs and would give the go5 teams a shot at it. and if the 8 seed is really worthy, they should be able to destroy the go5 team right?
Nope makes it interesting when you actually include others besides the select group that when they lose you say they should be in anyway still. Is the most interesting college football has ever been.
Answer to title 100% Yes and get rid of Automatic Qualifier because not all conferences are created equal. Danny's Idea on 24 Team is just Stupid. Group of 5 should do there own CFP and leave Regular CFP for Power 4.
the Conference championship is all about money...if the conference champion are not that important to the playoff rankings then nobody will want to play in them and nobody will go and watch them.

Don’t hate this idea
Hilarious...my guy broke character temporarily
We waited all season to get to these playoffs and now they’re here, and all they want to talk about is stuff 2-3 years out?
They don't like because they have no control over it. They want the same teams and have no respect for the group of five teams.
They barely respect ASU/Clemson and SMU not surprising.
You cant do FBS because theres greesy bowl games
Get rid of the bowl games
Might as well do a 24 team playoff with the 24th and 25th team playing a bye in game and the top 8 teams getting a bye
The easy fix is keep the 4-team playoff rankings (The top 4 teams get a bye). Oregon, Georgia, Notre Dame, Texas
Georgia and Texas won't be there
It would actually be Penn state instead of Notre Dame

8 teams. 3 rounds.
Have the 1 seed play the 8 seed. Seed according to the rankings. No more undefeated power 4 conference champions left out.
Have the 1 seed play the 8 seed. 2 plays 7. It goes inward. Your welcome Infixed the playoff for you.

Well if first round byes are eliminated from playoffs then should conference championships be eliminated
Because the CFP refuses to use SOR or SOS, the SEC MUST leave CFP! SEC Championship Playoff TON NIL$$ *BONUS* No Committee!
I love ❤️ having the bye week
