    Every kid that´s starts with our beautiful hobby should be floatfishing first - I see guys with their sons (and daughters - glad to see that :) who fish for carp. with boilies, rodpods, boats and fancy rigs - but don´t know how to set up a float. I think that´s sad. basics are important. And there is nothing much more delightful as seeing a float going underwater :)

      wasnt until I got older and just started looking at getting back into fishing (just got myself a setup to get back into it) till I realised when my dad used to take me out as a kid, he had as little clue as we did lol. No wonder we always used to snag he just threw the float on at a random depth and we went at it, I bet it was dragging on the bottom the whole time lol.

      @@mgproryh dragging on the bottom has not to be a bad thing :)

    Hi, can you re use float stops after a fishing session. Is there a way to save them.

    • @helikopter308
      @helikopter308 2 роки тому +1

      what kind of stopers? because if you have inline stops then you can't re use them.

    • @Francesco89314
      @Francesco89314 Рік тому +2

      Yes you can reuse them.
      Tie a simple knot with the line where your float stop are and slide them back in place on the metal wire ;)

    So I've been thrown in the deep end. My little boy wants to fish. I havnt a clue. You get the starter combo rob and starter childs kit box. I just tied the round float on was I wrong? I didnt put weights on as I didnt know.

      Hi Catherine, It can be confusing at the start, hopefully this video helped answer a few of your questions. The way this float was attached and weighted is the best way for a beginner, try to copy this rig next time you're out fishing. We have also just launched a Beginner Basics playlist on our UA-cam channel, you may find them very useful to get up and running. Regards Steve

    Whoa, what a satisfying catch you got in the end. Someday...someday!!! Ugh. Today I still can't get my float right...and I'm already run out of money to buy more stuff. LoL.

    does the hook line attach to the end of the rod line through the hoop and then you tie hook on the end of the hook line, line? you cut the hook line with small scissors?

    • @AnglingDirectTV
      @AnglingDirectTV  2 роки тому

      Hi Frank,
      I use a pre tied hooklink with the hook already attached, its then just a case of looping these together.
      Regards
      Steve.

      Hi I watched a video called the perfection loop, so I could see how to tie the loop which connect to the hook link, basically it’s two big loops and then you pull the line, sort of thing. Can this perfection loop be used to a. Attach the hook to the hook link and b. Attack the hook line to the main line? (And running through the rods metal loops secondarily)

    • @frankhands5974
      @frankhands5974 2 роки тому

      ( so there’s two situations of use for it, the perfection loop)

    Hi, you seem to have made the common mistake when joining loop to loop. Put mainline loop through hook length loop, then put the hook through the mainline loop. If you change your bait and need to change the hook size, push the loops against each other and they easily come apart.
