Stacking extra poison is very much NOT the same as adding it later. For the math, let's assume you start with 5 poison then add 5. To stack it all at once, you get 100+90+80+70+60+50+40+30+20+10= 550 damage total If you add it after the first 5 expire, you get 50+40+30+20+10+50+40+30+20+10= 300 damage total Stacking is significantly better.
It's kinda ridiculous if you do the math, lets say the orb gives an x amount of balution Using the sum maths formula we can find that if you throw 2 orbs with n poison after the poison runs out you deal about 10n + n² damage Now for simplicity sake lets say that the poison doesn't tick away untill you're done throwing your orbs Throwing 2 orbs consecutively would deal 10n + 20n², so it literally doubkes the exponential value Now lets say you throw x orbs that apply n poison with the same rules If you were to wait for the poison to run out each time you would deal X(5n² + 5n) damage with poison However if you were to throw the orbs consecutively you would deal X(5xn² + 5n) poison damage, that means that without consecutive throwing you only multiply the ballution by how many orbs you're throwing once, meanwhile consecutively the ammount of orbs you throw literally starts dealing exponential ammounts of damage
But Siffffffd, the salt shaker does combo, there’s an item that gives+1 max hp per enemy kill and with this salt shaker if you get both early you can have hp amounts near 250 at the end of the run so it is actually very good
55:36 He lost life from the purple crystal, not the money, although that would be a cool concept for a boss. A boss that is made of pegs/gold, and loses life as you collect them. Maybe as a kind of bonus, or side boss?
25:00 you are mistaken in your assumptions here. Given the fact that poison does as much damage as remaining stacksx10, if you have 5+5=10 you are doing 100+90+80... but if you let the five run out then you only get 50+40+30...x2. Every stack becomes significantly stronger as you go up, so 5 on top of 5 is gonna add 400 while 5 alone only gives 150. Just the extra total damage from 5 to 10 is more than the amount of 5 stacks twice.
10:54 Yes, there is an easy way to gain max health: The Restorb permanently gain max health every time it is fired at level 3. You were offered this orb a awhile ago. I've seen people having over 200HP by the time they reached the final boos using this orb.
For decaying stacks formula: x*(x+1)/2 where X is the number of poison stacks. Your assumption is that initial tick of 5 stacks then adding 5 more stacks, 9 total stacks after 50 damage, is the same as going from 5 stacks to 10 stacks is the same. Just exclude the (x+1) since I think everyone can add +1 with out much thought. If 8 stack: 8*9/2, if 15 stacks: 15*16/2, if 20 stacks: 20*21/2, etc. Do 9 stacks and add 50 damage from initial tick of 5 stacks and see if it is the same as adding the +5 stacks first. 9*10/2 = 90/2 = 45 (450 damage) then +50 = 500 total damage. 10*11/2 = 110/2 = 55 so 550 total damage. Another Example: Start with 4 stacks and adding 8 stacks. Let one stack decay first vs adding the extra stacks first. 11*12/2 = 132/2 = 66 so 660 plus the initial 40 damage for 700 total damage. 12*13/2 = 156/2 = 78 so 780 total damage.
Hi Sifd, just commenting to say that the poison damage is WAY BETTER when stacking rather than waiting later. The total damage done by poison follows the triangular number pattern (scaled up/multiplied by 10). Basically, it compounds on itself. Doing 10 poison gives you the damage output of: 100 + 90 + 80 ... = 550 But doing 5 poison twice gets you: 2(50 + 40 + 30 + 20 + 10) = 300 You'd be applying the same total poison, but miss out on 45.454% damage due to letting it go down to 0. Also, the poison in Wildfrost applies in the same way. So going up from 1 poison, the poison would do 1, 3, 6, 10, 15, etc. However, a lot of poison-dealing companions/leaders either have a long turn timer, have their poison be dealt when they're hit by an enemy, or are Aimless (they affect random enemies in the row), so it does take careful planning to get this compounding poison to build up.
You contradicted yourself. You said there was too much rng and it was hard to get poison orbs then you said that if you had taken all those poison orbs you were offered the relic would be super op.
Also I’ve noticed you like things that make the game easier and mean you don’t have to plan ahead. If you play a strategy game you should be needing to plan ahead.

Throwing 2 orbs consecutively would deal 10n + 20n², so it literally doubkes the exponential value
Now lets say you throw x orbs that apply n poison with the same rules
If you were to wait for the poison to run out each time you would deal
X(5n² + 5n) damage with poison
However if you were to throw the orbs consecutively you would deal
X(5xn² + 5n) poison damage, that means that without consecutive throwing you only multiply the ballution by how many orbs you're throwing once, meanwhile consecutively the ammount of orbs you throw literally starts dealing exponential ammounts of damage
I think they should create a poison specific character called the Ballchemist
This guy should be put on the development team 🙏
There is an unlock related to poison but I don't know it's name
@@zachstangle6541 it's called the roundrel.
They did the thing already :p

Sure he meant that it counts the stacks each round instead of setting the the damage to be taken on aplication, then the stacks would not interact

If you pierce through a mirror and don't kill it, it definitely reflects damage. This makes piercing multiple mirrors potentially very dangerous.
Aw man, it hurt me a little at 48:00 when you already had broccoli and didn't take refreshiv.
Yes, more peglin, break it, thanks

Wouldn't matryoshka be fine since it's a poison build?

I would be interested in seeing what the difficulty looks like but the moment there is a feel bad mechanic or you lose, go back to not difficulty
