Bank governor who failed to pick up the gilts derivative crisis, and printed money for a year too long is preaching from a position of being unsackable.
We had a single market and customs union in the old Common Market but lost them as punishment for saying 'no' to Maastricht. Brexiteers have never been against good relations with Europe. We just want to rule ourselves.
When he was at the (failed) FCA, Bailey was known as 'out to lunch Bailey'. His promotion to the BoE was typical of what happens to failed bureacrats - they get promoted.
The state of the country has nothing to do with Brexit .It is all down to the Remainers and incompetent politicians who did not want to leave their beloved EU. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be in control of the running of your own nation.
Brexit again and again and again please! The BoE, are they really a benchmark of truth and can they really separate out their personal beliefs and preferences when they make comments anywhere?
The UK is doomed. Zero investment, and big money going abroad. The govermnents are unable eve to complete fast railway works. In China and Europe they already have 3rd generation of fast trains...
Problem with any major Public Project in UK is too many fingers in the pie. It was recently revealed that HS2 had spent - get this - £100MILLION to build a bridge to save some bats !!!!! Would that happen in China ?
Seems to me that the issue with immigration was down to Mrs Merkel who I bet is enjoying her retirement. The economy in America is leaping ahead now Trump is going to become President. The manager of the BoE here wants closer ties with a failing EU.
Absolutely. He should have come out saying that AS PART OF THE ANGLOSPHERE - we should be trying to re-build relations with AMERICA !!! I'd rather be looking West than East.
Mate, Rachel aint qualified. How can you get an admin asistant to make decisions on budgets. Its like having a librarian as PM, init - he aint got the sperience init. We need a DJT in Uk, sadly the options available are clowns, init.
Bailey blaming brexit for the mess we are in typical banker blame all our troubles on everyone else when it is the banking industry which is the cause of the problem which Trump is about to fix
If 10k invested in the FTSE index in 2000 it would be worth 25k today, The same investment in the US DOW index would be worth 65k today, UK has 6th highest GDP but has a low 26th place based on per capita. Also if California was a country it would be ranked 5th highest GDP and does it with 25 million fewer people than UK. Government nanny state and socialist policies has harmed the national economics. Far fall from the days of the industrial revolution leadership days.
As regards to the economies it is so obvious, we have the technology, we have the education, we have the workers so what is missing? What powered the first industrial revolution......it was cheap energy in the form of fossil fuels. We need cheap energy, that should be the focus of the government, maybe not fossil fuels but whatever can provide industries, businesses and society ie schools, hospitals and houses with cheap energy.
@@TomTomicMic taxes need to be changed so that companies who export goods get financial incentives to export, this will encourage them to export, and grow which will create more jobs and more jobs = more tax. Reaves has not demonstrated she understands that.

Irish exports for September alone reached 22.5 billion with only a population of 5.5 million. That’s mind blowing.
It's just big business dodging tax though!?!
Out To Lunch Bailey. was never a banker but an historian, I understand. Between him and Reeves things do not look good
