I got the Classic Teresa Collins in Ebony. This is my first black binder and I must say, I really like it more than I thought I would. The feel of the simulated leather is very luxurious. I also like that this binder is sturdy without being stiff like other binders I have had. I am using the Leadership Day on 2 pages (another first for me) and find that this combination looks smart and put together. I have not needed to use the pockets yet, as I am still working from home, but envision their utility going forward. Thank you for your videos on these products, Tonya, as they help me to see a Real User demonstrate the features!
Love this comparison! I'm still enjoying my Classic Teresa Collins in Ebony! I definitely have the Anna Leather Snap binder on my wishlist. I was leaning toward sailor blue until that beautiful brown came out...choices, choices!
I like the built-in zipper pocket, I wish my binder had that instead of the vinyl zipper pouches, plus that zipper pocket on the outside is great and would keep the inside more balanced without the bulges/lumps. My zipper binder has a plastic zipper instead of brass so it doesn't make any noise. All the binders are beautiful and I wouldn't have a problem with any of them, I just prefer leather to the simulated leather binder. I have a simulated leather binder also and unless you know the difference it feels just like leather. I would have to add a zipper pull/silencer to the Beautiful Life binder. I make those for all my packpacks and binders with zippers out of paracord. It makes gripping the zipper easier and acts as a silencer to keep it from rattling. @@TonyaPlans Thank you and you have the best videos on UA-cam. The two zipper pulls I use are the Cobra Lanyard Knot and the Diamond Lanyard Knot. The Cobra is flat and rectangular like a zipper and uses more paracord than a Diamond which is ball shaped. To be an effective silencer you have to start where the binder's own metal zipper pull attaches to the zipper slider and feed the paracord through that opening first and then again at the end of the zipper pull and then use which ever design you want. If you don't want something so elaborate because it takes a bit of practice if you've never worked with knots or macramé you may want something simpler like a Cow Hitch. I've tried posting links in UA-cam posts but UA-cam deletes my posts with those links in them so all I can say is these knots and hitches are easily found on the internet with videos and diagrams on how to tie them. You'll only have to invest in some paracord, scissors, and a lighter (to singe the ends of the paracord). Paracord can be found at any Military Exchange, Army/Navy surplus stores, police outfitters, Amazon, or any place that sells tactical gear, even Walmart carries it in the Sporting Goods department. You'll find a wide variety of colors online whereas most brick and mortar stores only carry black, tan, and green. I am on the fence this moment of buying the Anna Leather in Classic size. your video showed me even more of the stellar craftsmanship and details. Do you feel the $154.95 price is worth even with discounts for the binder? I have been a Franklin Covey fan for decades. One thing I was disappointed in is they moved their binder production to China instead of made in USA. Do you feel their quality has gone down? great video, and found it with good timing.

Since then, I have started my own business, selling my own leather products compatible with Franklin Covey (shameless plug). I believe that the Anna leather binder, if it is still made the same way as when I reviewed it, is worth the price. As a business owner, I can confidently say that there are no binder manufacturers in the United States. I've looked extensively, and unfortunately, sometimes we have to source products from outside the country. While I love products made in the USA, it's not always feasible due to the high cost of manufacturing and the scarcity of factories and factory workers here. Realistically, producing a leather binder in America could cost the consumer around $500 each, and most customers are unlikely to pay that price. I know this is a lengthy response, but I've heard concerns about products made overseas before. The reality is that we live in a global economy where it's often more economical to manufacture goods abroad. Will this ever change? I'm not sure. These are my honest thoughts as a former user of Franklin Covey products and as a business owner. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I have the Tyler Binder in the classic size. My favorite binder to date. Hated giving up my Monarch but this is so much easier to carry.
