I also searched and found out that NiziU is a 9-member Japanese girl group affiliated with a major Korean agency. I had thought they were a K-POP group until now!😆 Now I understand why they are loved by the Japanese.☺️
@@YOKOHAMAGUIDEWALKER Isn't it interesting that NiZuI primarily sings in Japanese, with all Japanese members, yet people often perceive them as KPOP because of their affiliation with a Korean agency? However, they're actually associated with both Japanese (Sony) and Korean (JYP) agencies. It raises the question: if a Korean group primarily sings in Korean and is affiliated with a Japanese agency, could they be considered part of the JPOP genre? Just curious about people's thoughts on this! 😅
@@YOKOHAMAGUIDEWALKER Nope, NiziU is considered JPOP/KPOP because they are a collaboration between Japanese and Korean agencies (Sony and JYP), not just a Korean agency.☺️ This is also mentioned on Wikipedia. ~ I believe Japanese love Nizui and XG the most, because they’re all Japanese artists. And under a Japanese agency.
@@jayzee2404 It will depend a lot on the point of view, for example NiziU is more Kpop than Jpop, because they are trained as Kpop idols, their music is made by Koreans, their choreography too, practically almost everything. They can be considered Jpop but only in terms of the market, because it is the thing they share, NiziU is a Kpop group (JYP) located in Japan (SONY). It would be difficult to answer your question because a case like that doesn't seem like it's going to happen.
