If I short qqq at 270$ , and sell puts every week at 240$ , what is my risk with this strategy except that market start a big rally ?
Say the stock moves up quite a bit, coming close to your short call strike. Would you ever buy to close your put credit spread for a good profit and sell a new one closer to the current stock price to collect more premium, thereby lowering your break even?
I trade 1-2DTE spy, iwm, and qqq iron condors and have loved it with this choppy market. Only a few times I’ve had to roll one leg, which I always keep buying power to do. Do you have any big downsides to this I should consider?
Do you have to own the stock in order to sell calls and puts?

What happens if ADBE went to 396 and the person you sold your call to exercised before expiration? Or what if ADBE fell to 309 and the person you sold your put to exercised before expiration. 173 bucks isn't looking near enough for this kind of risk. Exiting this trade is just as important as getting into it.

Great Video. IM confused on Implied Volaity. In a short Iron Condor since you want the stock to stay within a defined range wouldn't you want IV to be low?
because you are selling for a credit. higher IV would give you better premium

Thanks Henry. Why not use SPX ? It has numerous advantages over stocks for iron condors.
I noticed that when buying the Put and Buying the Call, those number as far as Delta and Theta doesnt matter, right?? Those are just put in place for Risk Management.
They matter, it’s just a question of how wide you want your wings…which is part of that risk management.

Please forgive the novice question but if you are in the green at Expiration, do you have to close the position receive your profit or can you just let it expire ?
You can let it expire.
The problem not explained is that if the trade starts to go against you and the stock starts to say go up, the break even explained in video is no longer the case. Video implies most you’d lose is $160 or half the premium - but as stock rises the premiums rise and the cost to close will be substantially more - can you do a video explaining this? Or is your strategy to hold through expiry no matter what? There is more risk here than you are explaining.

I’m pretty sure most people who know how options work KNOW that you shouldn’t be holding them till expiration. You should always sell 2 days before expiration and of let’s say it goes above or below break even before expiration it’s you’re choice whether you want to close the position or keep it open in hopes it goes back to the money

Who is getting approved for level 3 options with small accounts? I mean if you had years and years experience you probably wouldn’t have a small account.

I was approved for level 3 with $100 in my account. Lol. Granted, I have had my Robinhood account open for a few years. Maybe that helped?

You are not missing anything. Henry has a habit of glossing over data that doesn't match his ales ptich.

If the stock stays within the range of my iron condor the way I understand this is that I supposed to hold onto expiration date because time decay makes money. Somebody please confirm that im wrong...
You close your position anytime but when 1 day left for contract to expire you won’t be able to close it
Generally I close some where between 50% to 80% of max profit. Why keep the Risk on once you’ve made a majority of the possible profit already.

On Jan 27 ADBE was $363. Today (Feb 2) it hit $398, and is trading at $385 after hrs. I wonder if the range should've been a little wider toward the upside, but reducing profit potential? What happens if it's $400 on 3/17?
One thing i'm confused about: what if the stock price falls just below your Put sell, but remains just above your Put you bought? wouldn't that mean you have to purchase 100 shares at the price of the stock?
if you dont close it before the market close, your broker will assign 100 shares for you.
Close the trade before that happens

You have to show trading experience. On the Options Enable tab , you can request tier 3 . It will ask you some trading questions and depending on your responses will depend on approval . Hint , you must have a high risk tolerance and account is for speculative and growth . Hope this helps !

can someone help me, how to I make my robinhood account let me buy iron condors, it lets me only buy one option at a times. It tells me that I have to place separate orders.
First , must be on Tier 3 . And each pair of legs must be bought separately. You would do a put credit spread , then go up and open a call credit spread . Remember to sell first then buy second on credit spreads .
@@MandoDeLeonyou can set up the whole thing at the same time, but yes you have to be tier 3.

@@archerfire77 ? Makes no sense, if you get assigned early and have the capital for assignment you just wait and exercise your long side. Don't trade short what you don't have capital to handle assignment.
@@pennellbd did an Inverse Iron Condor. My upper short put got assigned, forcing me to automatically buy the stock $5 higher than it was at. Didn't want to hold the stock as it was trending down

Thanks so much my just telling me about u first video I watch I’m already in love with ur channel
the best strategy is covered calls, i quit my law enforcment job with it. i buy the shares and sell a call right at the money. ex: Always 1 week advance contracts two weeks max, if my avg price is $99.9 my strike price is $100. Collect a nice premium and hope it gets exercised and i get to collect another nice big premium. if i dont get exercised i roll it to the next week until i get exercised.
p.s. i only buy the same stocks over and over again.
AMZN, GOOGL, AMD, and TSLA if im feeling a little risky that week.
Started this Jan 2023 and lost only one small trade.
