I just realized that the song is completely mono until 1:27. That is such a cool touch that I can't believe I never noticed before
What does it mean mono?
@@dlaumorkaizen5788 Mono is when you have one channel (signal/source) for all the output. Stereo is when you have multiple channels or signals all feeding into the output. So if you have two speakers a mono track will play exactly the same from both, whereas a stereo track can have two different 'tracks' playing on the different outputs.
Think about how when you have headphones in and are listening to music, the left and right headphones sound different and have different parts of the track mixed higher or lower. That's something we can do because of stereo sound.

Just heard this song on 89.3 The Current (local Twin Cities, MN radio station)...went straight to Google and typed in "If it stops I'm having an unshakable nightmare" - I had to know who sings this! This has a Feelies-like sound, more conventional percussion but brimming with an energy they (Feelies) lost after their debut. Pretty solid.
Masters of the craft of the segue, as in 'Master of My Craft'/'Borrowed Time'. I don't think 'Light Up Gold'/'Sunbathing Animal' can be topped, but it's very close.
You are right, Light Up Gold straight into Sunbathing Animal is peak segue but I think this might be the new #2.

I saw them live in Pittsburgh over the summer, right up against the stage it was incredible. Planning on seeing them again in May and I can't wait!
I saw them then too, & like you was up against stage, directly in front of Andrew. So far no shows with this tour in my area. I may have to take a road trip to see them!
