Ty sir for ur service lol
Nope, didn't see anything. Great job Chili! Way to go Stros!! Let's do it again tonight!!! Woohoo!!
UA-cam TV's TBS froze on me a few times.
You’re the real mvp
Great work Chili willy
thanks as always
Great upload. Thank you
Thanks
Thanks for the upload man. Us international viewers appreciate you.
Thanks chili! Cant stop watching this. Let’s do it again tonight Stros!
VERY impressive and important stat:
Yankees struck out SEVENTEEN times.......Astros struck out twice.
Thank you for your great uploads
Pressly is impressive!
Wow!
Just take it slow folks. Got the important Game 1 win, but gotta get 3 more. One day at a time.
That said, I told yall multiple times this year.....WINNING CLOSE GAMES MATTERS. And that's ALL they've done so far. 4-0 in the postseason and have won those 4 games by a combined 6 runs. They did it all year long and it's such a great primer for playing these games in the playoffs.
We got this. I always say never count the Astros out.
Pena had himself a night! I hope he gets ROY.
They just can't wait to give to that overrated dude in Shitattle
Besides the 8th inning, Montero didn’t look quite as sharp, this was a very swift victory for The Astros. Felt like Peña and McCormick provided most of the offense tonight, and I’m still hoping that Altuve can eventually get that first postseason hit. Thanks for your hard work Chili.
WOO LET'S GO!
LFG STRO BROS!!!
Stroong 💪💪 chili/Astros
We were there! The bottom of the order getting it done is great to see!
Gosh, you know, I got to hand it to you. When you said this team was different and you couldn't understand why no one saw it, I fought against you quite a bit but....when you're right, you're right.
I mean it's just too bad we couldnt have a better run differential like the Dodgers and Yankees. We were only 3rd 😞 I wish we could be better like they are. I mean, if you have THAT good a run diff as the Dodgers they just give you the trophy don't they? I think they just cancel the playoffs.
And I just can't get over how much we couldn't count on Jeremy Peña cuz he's a Rookie. ESPECIALLY not to fill in for Correa's playoff clutch. I mean, he'd have to do something crazy like win ALCS MVP or something. AND WS MVP too. Only then would I even consider him replacing Correa. Too bad thats just not gonna happen 😕 I just don't know how we can count on a Rookie. I guess the Giants couldn't count on Buster Posey or Madison Bumgarner, and we couldn't count on Peña.....rookies....
And Maldy.....ugh....automatic out am I right??? Wouldn't it be wild if JV told him he wouldn't shake him for the entire game and that game ended up finally being JV's first WS win? But I guess hitting is all that matters huh.....
And dammit!! Arg!! Speaking of Maldy and that pitching staff, that historic pitching effort back in May/June that got them winning would've been SO useful in the playoffs!!. Too bad it wasn't sustainable. Ugh. Could you imagine if they like.....pft, idk, set the postseason bullpen ERA record and threw a WS no hitter or something? 😄 perfect world huh? Wowee listen to me being ridiculous!
You were right miss ma'am. There was ABSOLUTELY something different about this team, and I can't believe no one saw it......
@@imnotcreativeenoughh Oh cmon now. You could not have guaranteed any of it, so stop acting as if you knew that it would all work out. Part of the reason why Click isn't here anymore is because of the voids that he didn't fill that Crane clearly asked him to fill. Could you have guaranteed that Peña was going to perform as well as he did? Even Click is on record saying that he completely exceeded his expectations for THIS SEASON. And think about it, Click would not have cared if Peña would not have had a good postseason. Who would have known that McCormick was going to step up like he did. CF was one of the positions that even Crane himself wanted Click to upgrade and he didn't. And what would have happened if he hadn't stepped up like he did. Think about it: the outfield is still a position that they are considering to upgrade right now. Catcher is another position that they want to address and they did address it for the postseason. I'm still against Maldonado starting. And if he's that important to Verlander, Verlander might just take Maldonado with him if he signs with another team? Because Verlander can't perform without him? 🤦♀️What a bogus narrative. Vasquez is way better than Maldonado. He got very big hits for the Astros and made his mark as a catcher in the postseason with the Astros, on top of winning his SECOND WS. He actually caught Javier's combined no hitter. They asked the pitchers and Vasquez to sign one of the baseballs that Javier used and they sent that ball to Cooperstown. Maldonado's signature isn't in the HOF. Vasquez's signature is. And could you have guaranteed that Yuli was going to hit the way he did in the postseason? Look at what happened with the DH position. Diaz, Hensley, and Mancini should not have been our best choices for that position. This is all a reflection on Click and why he's gone. They are still trying to address these spots. It's fine that they gave Peña a chance because we had no one else, but thats why Crane wanted Click to address the other holes. They will now try to address them. That's why Click is gone. This comment that I posted had everything to do with with the holes on this team. I was glad that mostly everything seemed to work out. But if Crane went as far as firing Click for not addressing some of these holes, it only means that Crane is not willing to risk it again. So stop pretending like everything was fine. Enough just happened to work out.
@@worldtraveler721 Christ you really missed like.... every point. Just like you did back in our original discussion lol.
I literally told you everything that ended up happening. I told you it was way too early to be freaking out about bad run diffs. You went on about how they're usually at the top like NY and LA but they were negative and I said they'll be just fine.... they ended up 3rd best diff. You talked about Correa's playoff history and how we couldnt count on Pena in in playoffs, so I said Pena was already showing signs of being great and filling in, and specifically commented to you after his walkoff against Toronto. I said "see that? That's what he is"....he won ALCS and WS MVP after winning a gold glove. And in response to you complaining about how much the offense was struggling, I told you that the pitching was so dominant as opposed to last year being so volatile, and that based on the last 2 WS losses being because of pitching not showing up, I felt way better going in with dominant pitching than dominant offense....their pitching wrecked everyone in sight outside of JV being shite in the WS again and Lance tipping pitches. Oh and JV pitching first game after 5 days off before the LDS.
Did I know they were winning the WS? Of course not. And I wouldn't have made that prediction anyway because I'm superstitious. But the idea that I "didn't know" at least to a good degree is absurd. You were jumping off a bridge whining about Correa and Springer back in like April and we went back and forth with you trying to tell me it was all doomed and me trying to tell you why it wasn't. Fact is, so much of what I said was spot on. You, just like 90% of the people who comment on here, are spoiled. Spoiled so much that God forbid things don't go just perfectly all year long you're ready to whine and complain about it all the way to a championship. But nooooooo no one wants to listen to me. I don't know what I'm talking about, I'm just the angry guy that pisses people off.
And my God. "Enough happened to work out". Are you serious........
@@worldtraveler721 Are there still improvements to be made? Of COURSE there are, that's what every great dynasty does to KEEP winning. You don't just sit back and ride it out. Click wasn't the right guy, and I never said he was. That was never the point. The point was that letting guys walk who want giant deals is painfully the right thing to do because it NEVER works out. Besides, in the end its also the owner's money, and Crane has quite a bit of say. Didn't the Contreras trade not happen because Crane and Dusty said no to Click doing it? 🤔 And I'm sorry, if you still don't understand how much value Maldy brings then I legit can't respect your baseball opinion.....
If Jim Crane wanted Correa here on a 10 yr 350M deal, he would've done it. Crane hires the guys he knows will follow his philosophy. Oh and don't give me the "we could've done what Minnesota did" with Correa. That was a 1yr deal to play this year then go get his mega deal and everyone knows it.....
@@imnotcreativeenoughh You cannot base regular season performance and use that as a basis to say that someone will be just as good in the postseason. Especially someone with no track record. Look at Verlander. Did he perform just as great in the postseason as what he did in the regular season? It's totally absurd to say that you could see it. 🤦♀️If Click is on record saying that Peña surprised them and if Crane wanted Click to address the other holes because he didn't know how Peña would perform, ENOUGH SAID. Crane could see what I could see. Yes, enough worked out because if one or a combination of any one of those holes would not have worked out, the Astros would have had a very short postseason. Click getting fired is a tangible representation of Crane not willing to risk it the way that Click did. That's all that needs to be said here. Click sent this team to the postseason with a lot of question marks and if you can't see it, you better be glad you don't work for Crane. You would be fired too.
I'll be in the stands tomorrow.
Man so much to say. Got to be there tonight, that Peña HR was absolutely majestic, he's been outstanding and is quickly answering the question of whether or not he could replace postseason Correa. Verlander had a shaky start to the game but did an outstanding job settling in, the pen was lights out as usual, outside of the HR to Rizzo, and how bout Pressly just slamming the door shut in the 8th and then wipes em out in order in the 9th. Just awesome.
is all good
Don't sweat it brother you do good work Chili. Thank you brother for all your videos I've enjoyed watching this year they were much appreciated. Now for some real fun watching those clowns on ESPN making excuses for the Yankees.
Damnn, Verlander
Just win baby
Thanks chili 🌶
Come from behind win. Down 1 in the first and finish 4-2!
Jeremy is a red hot jalapeña!
Chili, brother, thanks for all the work you do. I'm 12 time zones away so a 6:30 start is damn near impossible for me if I get drunk, which I did last night. Managed to stay up for the whole damn 6.5 hour marathon though and it was worth it. Point is: I couldn't have followed this season closely without you. You are deeply appreciated
Don't get drunk. Easy fix.
