It's so worth it. GOD asked me years ago to let go of it and as the years go by, it gets better and better and I'm so thankful that I did because GOD always gives better when you sacrifice for Him.

I listen to both, more to support artistes, so that they can make a living out of their craft. That said, I listen to secular songs and artistes that do not contradict Christian themes.
I went a long period without secular music (over 5 years), and honestly, it didn't make me a better Christian.
That said, there are some things that I have given up in my personal relationship with God, which align with the special purpose He is calling me to. For instance, the Levites didn't work or own land because of the special purpose God had for them.
Thus, though there are some general things we shouldn't do as Christians (e.g. fornicate), I think we should be careful not to make something we choose to do law for everyone else. Thus, I think the words of Romans 14 are very important.
