Poor man suffer for this man hand o, if you no get money go and jump from egenege. This was my 70s and 80s. I can't ever forget the special lord's prayer. Urhobo special. It's a shame all that generation of Urhobo pioneers are almost gone. All we have left is Adjan who is sick and poor and so Called Urhobo union is doing nothing about it. He contributed musically to the culture and enjoyment of urhobos worldwide. I learnt a lot of wisdom and language from his music. If only there was a way to contribute to him.
Though I was born out of Nigeria of Urhobo father and Liberian mother, I can still remember this song. My late father used to play all of the Urhobo music in our house and infact our house was, for several years, the headquarters of the Urhobo Progress Union in Liberia. Thanks for the music. I appreciate my culture.
Was missing my Parents this morning and decided to search for this song by it reminded me of Home and Viola!… I found it. And it has made my Sunday Morning… Thanks to whoever uploaded this…
He was the first to add usorogun instrument into modern day Urhobo traditional music for commercial recording. He opened the floodgate for people like Johnson adjan and the rest..
Should incase you stumble upon this, my name is Igho. 28yrs old from Aghalokpe. There’s not a single day I don’t listen to Urhobo traditional music. Johnson Adjan is my GOAT ! 😍🫶🏻
