Beethoven Complete Piano Sonatas 9-disc boxed set: Naxos.lnk.to/B...
Boris Giltburg is lauded worldwide as a deeply sensitive, insightful and compelling interpreter, with critics praising his impassioned approach to performance. This project to record all of Beethoven’s 32 piano sonatas is a personal exploration for Giltburg, driven by curiosity and his profound respect for the composer.
These exceptional performances received widespread critical acclaim upon their original digital release, and this premiere 9-disc boxed set includes extended personal and informative booklet notes written by the pianist. Absolutly agree, I found the Arieta (2nd movment) to be the most beautiful piece written for piano ever !

A brilliantly clear account of this sublime work. A profound 'leave taking' by Bedthoven , there being nothing more to be said when the journey returns to the start with that final cadence. Superb, thankyou.

My favorite piece of Beethoven analyzed by one of my favorite pianists of this era which I personally met after he won the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2013. This video is golden!

Thank you Boris for this wonderful series ! imo this second movement revealed Beethoven's ability to see where the musical path would lead after his time. But his interior frustration, hearing loss asisde, was he could not present it. The world of Art Tatum, Fats Waller, Keith Jarrett he could feel, sense, and see. Many thanks.

Thank you, Boris Giltburg. Magnificent performance. Your explanation/description of the No. 32 is the one I have most enjoyed and understood in a long lifetime - and I have listened to many. Thank you for this entire 32-sonata series. I will be listening to it again - and again.

Wonderful commentary (and absolutely stunning playing)...the final 15 minutes or so of this sonata always strikes me as possibly the most poignant expression of the "beyond" in piano literature...quite extraordinary.
