this game is the best proof of "games back then were better" like this game is just about some teens spraying graffiti and skating around and its more fun than anything AAA has delivered in the past 10 years. and its not even nostalgia i played the game for the first time like 2 months ago and now im absolutely obsessed with everything that is 2000s sega

i used to hate this song because it was super cheesy but i love it for the same reason now. reminds me of a life i wish i could live of just being a teen in the early 2000s and hanging out with friends. like now if i played this with friends it would be dumb and i would be embarrassed
i can't find reps anywhere. they dropped this and then dipped, and no one has heard anything else from them since. wonder if they're still making bangers elsewhere....
One of my favorite games of all time. Back when I was a pre-teen in 2001 I used the custom pain tool and set as my main graffiti. So I spray painted penises and swastikas on the walls and the yellow coat detectives back
When I think of Jet set's music I always think of dubstep, punk, ska, man it would be great if they made a new game bringing in other obscure and great music like electro swing, and Nudisco?
In the Dreamcast version, the song "Yappie Feet" by Deavid Soul, which was removed in the HD release, plays during Piranha's showdown challenges instead of this one. It's a lot more fitting in my opinion.
"Oh you didn't understand how this clunky ass game works yet? Well too bad! Time to face off THREE MILITARY HELICOPTERS with HOMING FUCKING ROCKETS!" Seriously what were they thinking.
SEGA makes JSR, not SONY. There aren't many Playstation exclusive SEGA games, as they tend to favor Nintendo (Super Monkey Ball, Sonic the Hedgehog, etc.) and Microsoft (JSRF, Shenmue 2, and Panzer Dragoon Orta). They could do multiplatform, but it would be very unlikely that SONY would save the series.
ThOfficialStick And on top of that, you REALLY don't want another game. The famous smilebit studio who use to work on panzer dragoon, jet set radio and others now works on the sonic and mario series, for the last 7 years. The series is dead and sega killed it

Holy shit this song is awesome.
This needs a remake! So many games need remakes these days.
+agidyne967
happened in 2012... Unless you're waiting for Future...
+sonicfan2486 That was a port.
Gamexpertvids If it got a Remake, it would be hella different and probably not for the better... I'd say JSR 3 before a straight up remake. Remaster the old'n ones :) if they wanna make it new, it might as well be a sequel....
+sonicfan2486 Futer was a remake wasn't it???
+Sonikku Yoshi i believe it was a direct sequel to JSR/JGR
this game is the best proof of "games back then were better" like this game is just about some teens spraying graffiti and skating around and its more fun than anything AAA has delivered in the past 10 years. and its not even nostalgia i played the game for the first time like 2 months ago and now im absolutely obsessed with everything that is 2000s sega
"Gaming is dead" mfs when they play something that isn't an AAA FPS:
даа согласен чувак
One of my favorite songs of this game!😁✊🏿
DOO WOP
Doo wop do
Damn! It's Poison Jam! (Yeah, I know that's future)
OMS*Pikz poison jam was in the first game too though, weren't they
@@buhshmuh yeah but the line DAMN IT'S POISON JAM. wasn't in the first game
Hands down, the funkiest and one of the best designed enemy gangs. Especially in Future, Cube wasn't joking when she said "sexier"
Poison Jam is at it again....
Facilmente minha música favorita do game ❤️
Me lembra Charlie Brown jr, mesma vibe
@@flaviaocopeiro verdade man!! 100% abalando sua fábrica 🏭
Now that I think about it, a new Jet Set Radio game or reboot would work very well nowadays! It would be unique gameplay, could have some sort of open-world maybe...there are good ideas for it!
Are my ears deceiving me? I clearly remember hearing "hear that funny shit" during the chorus. What in the Mandela effect did I do to myself

I hear "Doo wop doo wop do" or "Do I do I do" but the other version sounds better to me; I thought it said "Hey, I thought I'd listen to the music/hey, I thought I'd live." It's not so easy hearing it while dogs are barking or helicopters are overhead, though.
title: bout the city
lyrics: bout the town
I feel like red hot chili peppers performed this and i can shake that image out my head, but like it has smash mouth vibes too.
It's very surfy, love it.
I Love It When He Say "YESSS"
Somehow I wanna cry while hearing this. You win again Nostalgia
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH OH MY GOD
I remembered the game as jet grind radio when i had it for the dreamcast. I didnt know it was jet set radio until it was rereleased
Yo why do I get reel big fish vibes whenever I listening to this?
Love this song.
Never stop being you, Me.
What
@@devilmaycrysarockingdontcome I sometimes reply to my old comments to appreciate the things i enjoy in the past and present. Just a little
self-encouragement.
This is like some bar brawl song type shit lol
This song slaps🔥🔥 this sounds like a 2003 song
This could easily fit in city escape
why the fuck is this not on spotify?
reminds me of burnout 3 TAKEDOWM!!!
The band who made this is REPS. unfortunately, the reason they never took off is because this is their only song that sounds like this.
love this song
It's like the year 3002 with the resurrection of 2002. I love Jet Set Radio Future but I'm not familiar with this song 🤷♀️
I got my 4th grade teacher's email address at the end of the year so we could share graffiti with each other when this game dropped. She and her husband both played this game and PSO1.
That's so sick, I've never met anyone that even played this game. Met a guy who loved Future
i used to hate this song because it was super cheesy but i love it for the same reason now. reminds me of a life i wish i could live of just being a teen in the early 2000s and hanging out with friends. like now if i played this with friends it would be dumb and i would be embarrassed
i can't find reps anywhere. they dropped this and then dipped, and no one has heard anything else from them since. wonder if they're still making bangers elsewhere....
That is quite strange
One of my favorite games of all time. Back when I was a pre-teen in 2001 I used the custom pain tool and set as my main graffiti. So I spray painted penises and swastikas on the walls and the yellow coat detectives back
Love this song!
12 people didn't listen to the music. Do wop do wop do.
YES!
why did i remember this being from Crazy Taxi
It would fit as music of a montage of someone trying to do something, only ending up getting pwnd XD
When I think of Jet set's music I always think of dubstep, punk, ska, man it would be great if they made a new game bringing in other obscure and great music like electro swing, and Nudisco?
I think vaporwave would fit as well, if they did it right
scwt89 Vaporwave isn't really a proper genre... it's good in some places, but it's almost impossible to integrate into anything...
Zeit Geist As far as I know, Blank Banshee is the only good vaporwave creator.
Holy shit, it would be amazing to see vaporwave and it's derivative genres in a game.
God no.
Here to celebrate the announcement of the remake.
🍻
Esta rola me pone a bailar AY LMAAO xdxdxd , Te amo JSR T__T
This will always be Piranha's song for me cause it came on in her stage for no reason
In the Dreamcast version, the song "Yappie Feet" by Deavid Soul, which was removed in the HD release, plays during Piranha's showdown challenges instead of this one. It's a lot more fitting in my opinion.
@@goatprince1 Yappie Feet or 'Bout the City?
@@sterlingnimbus1 Yappie Yeet
if this was released in 2003-2004 and wasn't composed for jsr it would most likely be featured in burnout 3 heheh
I got this game in 2001
Funny thing about this song is that in the "in game" version is different. Just minor things but still.
/watch?v=_eTNB-f9KEU
I can see this as a Yu-gi-oh Gx op😆😆
DO WAP DO WAP DO LISTEN TO THE MUSIC DO WAL DO WAP DO
It's a shame that Hideki naganuma was the only musician that had a successful career after this game
ah... so everyone else went downhill?? that's sad :[
I like this song tho... who did it?
Sorry for the late reply but it was by a band called the reps. Can't find any info on them
"Oh you didn't understand how this clunky ass game works yet?
Well too bad! Time to face off THREE MILITARY HELICOPTERS with HOMING FUCKING ROCKETS!"
Seriously what were they thinking.
awesome song believe it
do you go around making normal youtube comments and add beleive it to the end of them?
Of course he does...
Oh I do
lol
HaplessNerd believe it!
PS4 U NEED MAKE ANOTHER JGR GAME ASAP
Agreed
The series is dead and sega killed it
Vidyagamesnake sega kills all their franchises, and especially their most popular one over and over again.
Actually smilebit was absorbed by sega & now they work on the yakuza series
