My buddy found the book, we were both stuck on how amazing it was.

Finished reading Ship of Theseus, still have to finish the Annotations. Still pretty confused about Ship of Theseus. Feel like more questions were asked then answered. Wondering if those questions will remain unanswered in the annotations.

Thanks! I'm planning on reading it a second time around. I like trying to figure it out on my own. If I'm absolutely stumped I'll check out this website. :)

It is truly amazing. But keep something in mind. Now, You may get this, but ,This book is structured like a "hyper-text" like T.S. Elliot's the "Waste Land" . . . (while I have no doubt that you can figure the stuff out) the purpose of structuring these books is to lead ppl to research other works NOT to find a "general meaning" & to lead you to find the hidden clues and Easter Eggs that lead you to other clues which really are other works, like music, literature, news, philosophy, etc.. I don't think its something meant to be intuited independantly of these clues & other textual references. So I think of reading this NOT as figuring out the or a meaning, but figuring out what other works are being referenced to or what other works should one research or asks: what does this texts refer to? Then I think they want to see what you get out of it. I think the pt. of this (like hypertext) is to lead you to other contexts which inform the context of the text. Another words without the context of other books or other works you are meant to be stumped & not "get it" until you piece the full puzzle together. . . Have fun. I am just beginning this book.

Omg, every time they cut back to the studio it just feels like the room got a whole lot more stupid. Their comments always water-down your fascination with the people they interview or showcase. Simon Baker... Donna Tartt... urgh, they treat these people the same way a grandmother would treat their kid after getting a gold star at a spelling bee.

paul lewis Doug Dorst and J.J Collaborated on the book together, the “writer” of the book V.M.Straka is fictional.

My understanding is that Abrams came up with the idea and Dorst actually wrote the book [I'm not talking about the fictional author of the book Ship of Theseus] . Hench my dismay where the credit is given. 1.42 gives you the answer surely ...
