Anyway don't forget, Lunamon and Coronamon from xros wars will return in the sequel, but as the child/rookie forms of Apollomon and Dianamon. After Dianamon was killed along with Apollomon, they were reborn as digi-eggs, and hatched into Lunamon and Corornamon. Then Lunamon became partners with Mio and became friends with Tutomon, and Coronamon did the same thing like Lunamon did, he became partners with Makoto and became friends with Yadomon. Not just that even Betamon will become partners with Hikage and become friends with Weathermon.

Appli Monsters (Appmon) isn't a sequel to Digital Monsters (Digimon) but an alternate universe to Digimon where what if Digimon didn't come from computers but from smartphone applications. Appmon is an Digimon AU modernising the concept of what Digimon is. 3. Except for 1 Appmon Anime episode of Agumon crossing-over there a ZERO Digimon characters that appeared in Appmon. 4. Digimon & Appmon only had 2 crossovers. 1st in the Appmon Anime Digimon is a videogame franchise and Aguman gained sentience from a Digimon game and there was 1 episode crossover. 2nd there was a Non-Canon game in Japan mixing Appmon & Digimon because of caurse they are the same exact brand and owned by Toei & Bandai. The Appmon Anime is canon so Digimon only exist as a videogame franchise but that doesn't mean that in the future there be more crossovers. Digimon is a multiverse like Pocket Monsters (Pokémon) but with a set of universes where Digimon are called Appmon but because it is still confusing because Appmon & Digimon are under the Digimon Branding fir simplicity.
